82'or 83',85,86', 87', 92', 95' , 2010 3 separate visits. That how I know about the frozen Grand Marnay and the not so great Chinese and Japanese. We never ate there in the early years. I do enjoy the smoked turkey legs. I have had them other places like at fairs and outdoor art show, but the EPCOT ones are the best. Love Illuminations! AA is so incredible to me. Just have not had a good food experience there. Ate in the revolving place in The Land. It was just eh. Love the queue for Nemo! Old Living Seas had more animals. Manatees are the cutest! I like to park hop from WDW. to MK! Monorail riding is enjoyable. So fun to run around WDW and be free!you haven't been to EPCOT before...have you?
Teppan Edo is the main Table/Counter Service restaurant located in the Japanese World Showcase Pavilion at EPCOT. The Sushi they offer there have recieved rave/great reviews, but I don't like sushi. However, I tried their Steak and Shrimp meal and it was very delicious. Cooked just how I wanted it. The restaurant itself has a unique atmosphere to.
The sushi that is served in EPCOT (Both at the TS & QS places) is made somewhere else & brought in. If you have a special request like "No avocado" they cannot accomodate. For sushi, the best bet is to take a walk or a boat ride from the International Gateway to the Swan and go to Kimono's. Everything is made fresh there, and the food is usually really good. In addition to sushi, they also offer some non-raw fish appetizers as well as salads and soups. I can attest that the tempura platter & the gyoza are both excellent. They also have karaoke after 9pm on most nights. We usually leave before that gets started.
In World Showcase, here are my favorites:
Via Napoli (Italy) - I really like the pizza here. The pizza here is the closest I've found to the pizza I had in Rome from a trip a couple of years back. The Calamari is also good.
Tangerine Cafe (Morocco) - Love the shwarma platters!
Les Chef de France (France) - Some people love this place, others not so much. I've eaten here probably 6 or 7 times and always had a good experience.
Boulangerie (France) - I lover this place since they re-did it. The old version had good food, but the line was always long & it was kind of claustrophobic inside. The new place expanded the space and the menu. Had a lyonnaise salad and a garlic roll on my last visit. Awesome.
Beirgarten (German) - My husband & I like this place, but if German food isn't your thing, I would skip.
Yorkshire Fish & Chips (England) - Good fish & Chips. Menu in Rose & Crown looks good, but the last time I ate here it was over 12 years ago.
Oh, man. When EPCOT first opened it sort of sucked. We were all 18 or 19 years old, and all we did was complain. "We want Mickey" EPCOT sure has improved from the early days. Also I am a grown up. Or well, sort of a grown up.you haven't been to EPCOT before...have you?
