I touched the fat lady AA sitting on the bench eating a DOLE WHIP in ADVENTURELAND! She looked so real and her reaction wasn't what I expected!!:o

Every morning or evening when doing the walk through at the Mansion you're required to say hello to "Lucifer" the raven and pet it.

I didn't do the Great Movie Stride. I was a Bellhop at the Tower of Terror from Jan - Aug of 2003. I had a good friend who worked at GMR and two nights went in and walked the track. The first night I got to be up above the Anubis scene and touch the jewel that makes the smoke come up. It actually isn't the jewel that does it, if you want more info PM me and I can tell ya all about it.

I haven't, but my friend touched the bluebird AA at the end of Splash Mountain when we were evac'd off last year.

I was angry that I hadn't though of it first   :lookaroun

i did that once too, sometimes ride problems can make it a great day!

Cast Members can sign up for backstage walking tours of Spaceship Earth, The Great Movie Ride, The Haunted Mansion and a few others through the Disney Learning Center. The classes are posted on the Development Connection section of the portal, generally on or about the 15th of the month prior to the class being offered. They fill up FAST, generally within a few hours or days of the class being posted. If you wait until the Learning Center printed newsletter is published, you won't get in the class.

They used to offer a tour of the American Adventure. I really hope that they offer it again. The Haunted Mansion tour starts pretty early, 6:00, I think. I never was able to get into that one.

never touched one ... don't think that they feel like anything other than rubber or plastic .. but I'd love to take such a tour one day

touching AA during rides falls in the vandalism category for me .. :dazzle:

Sorry to revive a thread from the crypt, but I wanted to add my 2 cents. I've touched the Gravekeeper, Boney and the two ghosts who shoot each other from in the ballroom scene on the top left in the Haunted Mansion. I've also touched John and Rover in CoP. Both of these were while the rides were turned off.

John and Rover were a bit dusty, I was actually on stage helping clean one of the scenes with one of the overnight costuming ladies. They were filming a scene for Tomorrowland and they were changing the first scene to how it looked like during the World Fair. I even got to see them change Rovers fur from brown to white. It was pretty bizarre.

I always watch for the cast member to hit the button to make the voice say, "Halt unbeliever...."

During my DCP I was responsible for walk-throughs on Peter Pan's flight and each of the cast members on the walk through would pat Nana the dog goodnight as a superstition that the ride wouldn't have any issues the next day. :) I've had that pleasure.
