i guess
you miss my point... I love Walt, but to say he was a Genius with all the ideas he came up with, and other people made them happen, goes back to your Jobs statement. Maybe you said that to cover your self, but come on.... I want a bathtub that rolls over to me when I'm ready for a bath.... I said it, now if you invent ti, it's still my brilliant product. I understand if you worked for me then yes it would be credited to me... I'm sorry I'm a real artist, and I don't really resespet people who have quote. Unquote ghostwrites for them. If you didn't fully create it. Don't take full credit.. example Steve Jobs.....Well...if you work for the man, then yes. Disney owned the company, came up with the original Mickey Mouse drawing and then told his staff, Iwerks included, to refine it and make it something that would sell tickets. He did just that. The other side of your question is, "Would we know about or care about Iwerks if it hadn't been for Walt?" Based on his critical and commercial failure running his own studio, I would think the answer would be obvious. Walt was able to succeed with other people in his staff, but Iwerks wasn't able to succeed without Walt driving the vision.
Would the things you listed....Multiplane camera, AAs, etc...exist in the form they are without Walt driving those engineers to develop them?
