Did I miss a discount?

Hi all,

So as many of you are, I am anxiously awaiting discounts for 2014. As far as I can tell from the waltdisneyworld.com website, they have not been released yet. However, I have seen threads and posts about stay plan and dine discount or something to that effect. Can someone help me? Did I miss something?

Just called - here is what happened:

We are at Beach Club for 9 nights with 10 day park hopper and dining plan. I calculated the two discount offers before calling (been up since 6 a.m.) and determined the 35% room discount was the better deal. By quite a bit. So I called right at 7 a.m. After I waited on the phone for about 30 minutes, I stayed on the line from my phone and called from my DH's. I knew it would be busy but I always think I get sucked into the abyss and no one will answer. So I tried from his phone and listened to the music in stereo from the two lines. After about 55 minutes on hold, a great cast member answered the line. I asked to apply the 35% room discount offer to the existing reservation. With this discount....we saved....

$1642.72

We just did the math that if we stuck with our original plan of going Feb 6-13, staying at POP would have cost us more than switching to the free dining here at the end of October. Of course we paid the upgrade to regular dining plan which is totally it for the places and experiences we wanted to do.

We will probably bring up the luggage from the basement tomorrow.
We've got all of our "must do's" listed, printed and ready. Have to print my spreadsheet yet.
BTW...we got Magicbands. Can't wait to use them.
