Trip Report Did i eat paint chips as a baby?

Once again, it's your favorite trip reporters favorite trip reporter. Prognosticator of Prognosticators ( I don't know what that means I just like Groundhog Day), your buddy, your pal....9000!

I jumped the gun last fall and started a PTR in hopes of visiting in December, but alas,... life, work and the holiday season decided that was a no for me, dog! Even tho my plans of visiting WDW were dashed and i was bummed, I decided to take advice from America's favorite kitchen decor signage which is to Live, Laugh, Love.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago and I was able to get a DVC reservation which leads us to this unhackneyed report! What makes this trip a bit fresh and unusual is the resort I'll be staying at, but we'll get to that shortly. For now, let's get to the cast and crew of this warlock of a TR! There shall be 3 of us!

First up: Me, the most likely reported forum member of all time. I thank political humor for that title.

Second: My good buddy, Justin who joined me on my last trip. It was his first trip to WDW and he experienced all the trials and tribulations that come with visiting with me. Such as this Lil beauty (IYKYK)

Here is a more PG 13 pic

And D: This big fella, who some of you may recognize from a prior report:

It's Bailey! I'll share details later as to why he is joining us again.

When will we be visiting: late March

And now...Where are we staying? To answer this question, I shall ask you a question. You can call me Joshua, and you're Stephen W. Falken becuase my question is...

The game? Can you name the resort that when people say the name of said resort they tend to not say the full and complete name of the resort but instead shorten it? And here's a hint, which if you've read my prior reports you will know that the shortened title of this resort makes me puke in my mouth when I hear it. There are two primary forms of the shortened resort name. Both make me equally puke the same amount. Now, name that resort??

Quick time shift back to yesterday.

As we left AK and boarded the bus, we sat in the back (which i always try to do for room for the dog). Bailey was under the seat but his paw was slightly protruding and a young boy (maybe 13 years old) stepped on his foot. I said "hey, be careful" because Baileys paw wasn't in the aisle and I thought the boy was being haphazard but as soon as he heard Bailey yelp, he apologized and i could see by the look in his eyes he was genuinely sorry.

I told him it was OK.

After a few minutes passed I felt bad for my somewhat scolding tone I had used and could also see the boy was quite anxious from what happened so I struck up a conversation with him. I just asked where they were from (he was with his mom).

He said Chicago. The conversation went on from there and we had a great ride home. I even asked him his favorite pizza spot and told him i have a friend in Chicago that takes pizza very seriously and I would text him about whatever spot the boy chose and we'd see if my friend texted back. It took about 30 seconds for my friend to text back and he approved of the boys favorite pizza spot! We had a good laugh.

I share this story because it was a training moment for me, not Bailey. It wasn't the boys fault for stepping on Bailey even though I did everything I could to prevent it. I was upset with myself for the reaction when I heard Bailey yelp. I did not yell, but i did have a "tone" that the kid did not deserve. And after we got to talking I realized what a polite young gentleman he was.

Lesson learned and I will work on being less reactive. Will I work on actually finishing this TR? Debatable. Lol

In other news, here's some pics from the last 2 days I wasn't sure if I posted. If I did, enjoy them.again!

Yesterday cntd..

After we left RoTR we saw Tower of terror only had a 20 minute wait so we popped in. We were escorted to the kennel by the one and only T.J. himself!

He is such a nice guy. I asked how many pics a day he takes. He said around 50-75 a day. Im sure he puts on a show for every one of them! He's the best if you haven't had a chance to interact with him, you should!

We had a great ride and then fetched Bailey

When we entered the room the CM was sitting on the floor giving Bailey belly rubs through the kennel. We let her get some actual quality belly rubs when he got out.

I let the CMs in the kennel rooms pet Bailey so has a good experience when he's there. Once we leave, he's back on the clock!

We caught the Indian Jones Experience next. It was Justins first time seeing it and I hadn't been in a very long time. It was a great show.

Attempted Star Tours when we left but as we approached i could tell something was going on...

There was a wall of CMs surroundk g the entrance and gift shop. They had it locked down like Fort Knox!

We saw Baseline was open so...

Round 2 at Baseline

20250325_122101.jpg

I sent some pics to @darrstar. Her and I have some good memories here and plenty more to come!

Star Tours was next. I mentioned the big shut down they had earlier and mentioned to the CM helping us in the kennel that i assumed it must have been medical related. She basically told me yes without saying it and it must have been pretty severe. Hope all is well with whomever it was.

Got some Bailey pics in the empty halls.

One benefit of using the kennel is waiting until everybody clears the area and you can get some.cool pics

Since we were in Star Wars mode, we headed over to the Faclon. One of the characters walking around approached Bailey and said , "hello, my four legged Wookie friend".

Then another CM said, "he's a service wookie". It was hilarious.

After completely trashing the Milenium Falcon on our flight we headed back to the resort ASAP to avoid Chewie!

Fun fact, when you use the kennel at Smugglers Run you get the while Falcon to yourself!

I forgot to post these pics of Bailey at RnR

We were chatting with a cast member about all the crazy things they see amd have to put up with. He told us that just the other day on Rise of The Resistance a kid got loose from the vehicle and was running all around the track and nearly got ran over by a ride vehicle!

After the park we headed back to our new favorite spot for dinner.

We slept in a bit. Didn't set an alarm. Showered and left the room.within 20 minutes. We are rope dropping Epcot. Attempting to correct a slight miscalculation from yesterday (which I'll catch up on today).

Quick fit check in the elevator

Wednesday...

We were up early to rope drop Epcot in an attempt to nit wait 17 hours to ride Cosmic Rewind (all the single lightning lanes have been sold out).

We were on the monorail at appx 745 to be at Epcot before 830 to line up for Cosmic Rewind early entry. I watched a YouTube video so we knew they group people up.and turn form a line. Many people get there very early to be first. Which puzzles.me because if you're waiting from 730 am -830 am , you're STILL waiting an hour to ride. Perhaps it's the thrill of being first? I digress.

Foggy morning monorail ride
20250326_074414.jpg

We arrived and got through the gate to line up around 815 am.

20250326_082205.jpg

The larger mob was corraled in the breezeway and the line went around the corner. We expected this so it wasnt surprising.

At 830 the mob began to move with thunderous applise from everyone! It was pretty fun. Lots of excitement and smiles as we walked up

20250326_082858.jpg

The CMs do a good.job keeping things orderly despite a few reckless individuals but overall it was very smooth.

It took appx 10 minutes to e ter the building. It was a smooth steady pace to get in. Another 15 minutes to enter the first pre ride video.

Overall not too long. We realized if we had left slightly eariler we could possibly shave 10 minutes off that time.

So here we are today at appx 805 am and heading in. We appear to ahead of schedule. We are in the initial mob wave we we missed yesterday. Will fortune favor us? Stay tuned!

Your TR reminds me of these golden retrievers in training I saw a couple of years ago at the MNSSHP. This group of people were at MK training dogs. (I'm guessing because it was lower crowds.) They were on the boat in front of us at IASM for people who can't transfer from a wheelchair and we were behind them. We loaded at the same time. They were pretty chill, but when we started moving on the rollers before you enter the water, one of them started freaking out a tiny bit. Not a lot, just whipping his head around back and forth, trying to figure out why he was bouncing. I'm pretty sure he was thinking "What the what is going on here?" I laughed. He didn't seem frightened, more like surprised. He was fine for the ride, he didn't really seem concerned when his boat hit the rollers again. I still laugh when I think about it.
