I am curious to know if, other than the obligatory pin release, if there will be any special marking of the 20th birthday of the DHS park on Friday, May 1st. Does anyone know of any special plans for the day? TIA

Thanks, I was hoping for something a little more official. I am going to be at DHS in the morning on 05/01/09. I will be hopping to EP around noon for my lunch with Remy at Chefs.
It's kind of sad that a company that has a promotion of "Celebrate Today" is not going to celebrate their own park's milestone. :hammer:

As for MGM's (as that what it was called for 18 of those 20 years) B-day I like to see:
- The cast of Adventures in Wonderland do a special live performance
- ________ Tracy Staring in Diamond Double-Cross to be shown instead of BatB
- Real animators at Disney Animation
- Sounds Dangerous to be blown up
- The hat to be torn down by fanbois with crow bars
- "The Lottery" have a special screening in the Bamboo Room
- The Catwalk bar to replace Playhouse Disney for one day only juts to make the tykes cry
- Rod Serling's corpse to be paraded down Sunset Blvd.
- Harrison Ford himself by in the Epic Stunt Spectacular
- Frank Oz do a surprise Muppet routine
- Britney, Justin and Christina all take turns failing at trying to be Backlot Tour guides
- Win, Lose or Draw have another special show done in the park
- Sorcery in the Sky be shown
- Aladdin/Hercules/Mulan parades combined to make one big crazy one
- Hunchback to have another show

I feel like I remember hearing something a while back about SD being closed... but then it was open last May when I was there...did I miss something? I think they should close it - it was rather horrible. And those headphones *shudder*
