Toy story, ToT, and RnRC are all down at today's open. Everyone is being turned away from the queues. Does anyone know what is going on???

Has this happened before? I am in park.

Tower opened at 9:40am.

I have not been able to get a reason other than "maintenance issues." It is interesting to see the December "crowd" migrate from one place to another and the frustration that sets in.

Will keep posted.

I recalled Sunsets E Tickets had their own supply?? This sounds a bit serious. Unless it is a huge coincidence.

Then I guess it's a shared with toy story too.

All shops, FP machines, queue displays, and lighting were working earlier when people were turned away.

Tower has been reduced to one set of elevators.

Yes that is right, Tower and RnR had their own power, but I'm not sure whether TSM was somehow integrated into that, if at all.

This is very strange. Perahaps they are down BECAUSE these have their own power grids? Something went haywire with them maybe? Who knows, I have no idea how TSM factors into this. Keep us updated, hokielutz!

Wow that's rare...I mean you can actually experience what DHS was like when it was just a studio tour again....for a short time...

I bet the lines for Sounds Dangerous was Packed...:lookaroun

This can easily be coincidence. There have many times RNR and TOT were down and TSMM was about to have to close, but didn't and visa versa. It might not be, but in either case it's nothing to worry about.

It's only a problem in that, rides-wise, there's nothing else in the park to do! This is why Disney needs to expand both Animal Kingdom and DHS with more rides. They don't all need to be E-tickets.

It's also one of the reasons it's extremely easy to visit DAK and DHS in a half-day or less. I almost can't watch any of the shows anymore (simply because I've seen them so many times now, I only see them once every other trip or so). If I show up at DHS at 10:00am, I can be done by 1pm at the latest...a little later if I decide to see a show or a little earlier if crowds are really low.

Before this gets further carried away, let me say I was there this morning too, and everything was up and running within 45 minutes of open. Unusual for sure that they were closed, but whatever the problem it was short lived. There were power problems all over WDW the last couple days due to the freezing weather overnight. Probably the same at DHS this morning.

But before this gets further carried away, nothing "horrible" happened. Crowd level was very low--probably a 2 out of 10. I did a lot of the attractions during that first hour and despite the change in traffic flow everything was a walk-on. Only Toy Story Mana had the typical 80 minute wait at 10:30 already.

What it did do was make people veer from their touring plans for an hour.
