DHS CARS LAND

I believe they are waiting to see how PLANES does at the box office. I could see the backlot going away to build new ride/land based around PLANES and CARS. Could be the suspended coaster ride we have heard about for years now is to be a ride based on PLANES and not the monsters door scene ride. A Dualing PLANES Race!

Cars vs. planes radiator springs racers type ride. The two worlds would clash and the plane and car would end at a photo finish. This may be very $$pricy$$!! If they are going to refurb the park, Pixar movies are the way to go. They bring unreal worlds to life, and than disney parks make those unreal worlds real! These bring in mass crouds ex. Carsland dca

Planes is not a Pixar movie

In my opinion it will take more than the band aid of a great ride to revitalize Hollywood studios.

Basing a big new attraction around a made for TV movie, that ended up as a feature film, before it is even tested in the market is not Team Disney Orlando's Modus Operandi.

i think we should just build a new theme park where DHS exists and base it solely around the life and wonder of....ME. an entire days worth of ME.

all in favor say aye!

I would like to see Animation Courtyard be more about the art of creating animation rather than "these are animated movies so let's throw them here". That might stick to the park's original intent a little too closely though. Crazy talk!
I'd like to see Animation Courtyard be converted into a Production Courtyard that focuses on television and radio. This would lead into a new entrance to Rock 'n' Roller Coaster.

Detouring a bit, since I know a lot of people in this thread (I think I'm in the right thread) love concept art, I wanted to share the sad news we lost one of the great ones recently that you probably never heard about, but his touch was all over the parks. Eric Heschong, a colleague and friend, died last week after a fight with lung cancer. Eric was a brilliant artist who did some absolutely spectacular art, starting with Hanna-Barbera (like a lot of some of the best artists did) and landing at WDI. He mentored some of the other top artists still working today. Eric worked on Disney projects for WDI, mostly doing art for Tony B., but he also worked on IOA, Paramount attractions, casinos all over the world...he will be sorely missed in the industry. And he was a darned nice guy. I will try to put some of his work up soon.

Alain Littaye did a post with a lot of Eric's work.
