Wow where to begin. Lets see, there is POTC, Pirates League, BTMR, anything in Tomorrowland, Tom Sawyer Island, HOP, Frontierland, Peter Pan Flight, the list goes on. But am not complaining. MK is more than fairly balanced, and like I mentioned in the OP has invested a lot toward families with girls in new Fantasyland. I just wish other parks would find that balance -key word: balance-

I am in complete disbelief you actually called Hall of Presidents an attraction geared towards boys. Wow. I mean seriously - wow.

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
My beautiful, very girly 9 year old niece at the Jedi Training Academy, Fall 2012.
We waited more than 75 minutes to get her signed up.
She also loved ToT, Star Tours (me, not so much), & R'n'RC.

You're right, whatever are little girls to do at DHS?

Hah! I've heard it said before that HoP attracts one type of person: those looking for air conditioning :p

Seriously though... I guess girls are no more likely to care about the history of our country than they are to enjoy experiencing other cultures. Sigh... :banghead:

She obviously ran and hid from this whole thing. Whether or not her daughter grows up to be a math teacher or a scientist, she's going to be dealing with it until college. Its called general education requirements. I think you all did a great job pointing out all the girly stuff in Epcot and DHS.

But I'd also like to throw in that according to my book about Walt, he admitted that Fantasyland was HIS FAVORITE! And he CREATED THE PLACE! And he's A MAN!!!!!!!!!

What a sexist she is.

For the record, I love Pirates of the Caribbean, Tommorowland, Frontier land and Epcot:cat::p

1. Epcot Center is not supposed to have princesses. Epcot was designed as a permanent World's Fair...it's core mission is to let visitors better understand the world around them, through both science and other cultures.

2. They tried making Epcot more "Girly" back in the early 90s.

It was a disaster.

3. I take issue with the notion that DHS doesn't have enough "for girls", since the majority of attractions there have a universal fanbase. Girls like Star Wars, too, you know. (just ask @StarWarsGirl95) They also like Aerosmith and Toy Story. The Tower of Terror has universal appeal as a haunted house/thrill ride. Other than that....the shows are evenly split. Guys favor Indiana Jones and Lights Motors Action, while girls are going to gravitate towards Beauty and the Beast and Voyage of the Little Mermaid)

Sure they could always do a bit more (perhaps a new set of LMA movie cutscenes with a female agent, played by Danica Patrick :D?), but as DHS stands, it's pretty geared even for everyone.

I know this may sound like sarcasim after all the money Disney has just invested in new Fantasyland. But am I the only one who notices the lack of attractions geared toward females and families with little princesses of our own at DHS and Epcot?-
Yes you must be. So you wouldn't take your daughter on Star Tours or Imagination? There's many girls who sign up for Jedi Training Academy. My daughter does every trip. Her favorite ride is Star Tours and her favorite show is Indiana Jones.
Like I said this may sound like a sarcastic post considering how Frozen is now one of Disneys most successful films, and all the princess-oriented material found in new Fantasyland at MK.
No it's coming off as a stereotypical "girls belong in the kitchen" post.
But other parks need at least just one or two quality attractions at either park that are geared to the ladies. Sure there is B&B and Playhouse Disney at DHS which features Sophia The First, and Epcot has princess meet and greets at different locations, but if you count all the attractions at both parks, both major and smaller, it seems to be geared mostly toward boys.
That's just narrow mindedness on your part.
The reason i did not mention Animal Kingdom is because animals are mostly bi-gender in popularity, meaning both little boys and little girls will be entertained by seeing animals and animal related shows or exhibits. But look at Epcot which is my least favorite park. Most girls young and old are not into all the science, space exploration, and cultural offerings.
Perhaps you are uneducated in these subjects but have you heard of Madam Curie (she discovered radium, you know for x-rays and won a Nobel Prize for Physics), Sally Ride (a physicist and the first woman in space) or Eleanor Roosevelt (that helped in many aspects of the American culture, too many to list.)
It is more educational and geared for the males. It is hard to even spot Belle or one of the princesses around World Showcase unless you know the exact times they will be out and appearing.
Picking up a times guide fixes that.
Then you have Epcot Character Spot which is fine and enjoyable for our little princesses, but Figment, Energy, TT, Soarin, not too many girls will be begging mommy and daddy to take them to see an attraction on where fossil fuels come from.:rolleyes:
So girls aren't supposed to like dinosaurs? Patricia Vickers-Rich discovered the Leaellynasaurua, a dinosaur she named after her daughter.
Sorry this rant is long but what i am getting at is why not just one or two attractions at each park that would really be of interest for little girls. A Tangled ride at DHS?? Please???? What about a Tangled or Frozen stage show? Belle was all about learning and imagination, so why not include her somewhere in the pavilion, especially since people are tired of the current imagination ride? Please do not think I am suggesting disney go all princess all the time. As much as i would like that, it would run off the male audiences. All I am saying is make more a balance at all 4 parks, not just MK.
The rest I just can't stop shaking my head at. Not all females are prissy glitter rainbow unicorn lollipop princesses. I'd rather my daughter grow up to be a strong self-confident intelligent cultured woman. (I guess I should stop taking her to Epcot.)

That is more educational and geared for the males.

This is the most objectionable sentence in the post. You are implying that education is not for girls. If you were to suggest that certain educational subjects were more popular with boys and others with girls, that would be one thing, but you are saying neither culture nor science is interesting to girls.
