Just a thought. Why doesn't Disney develop Castaway Cay into a full resort and water park, like Atlantis?

cause theres no way to get there prob, the runway is just used for small craft i believe for supplies and such, leaving the cruise ship the only means of transport here.

So, they would add more boat slips and expand the "airport" to allow small charter jets to land there as part of the project. Or they could build a cross-sea monorail from the nearest island that has one.

They can also offer DVC units. As part of the park, it could have one non-water element - Pirate's Cove!

Are there footings there already?
Funny you should ask that because I've been working on something I'll be posting soon: A tale of real footings in Las Colinas, Texas. Interesting stuff. Just trying to get some images together to post with it.

Um, no.

CC is supposed to be a place to "wash up" for the day. If it was a full-blown resort it would cease to be what it is.

It'd be cheaper to overnight the ships. The ships are big floating resorts. No need to do anything more. If anything needs to be added on CC, I'd say it's more cabanas.

Agreed I think CC should feel like a island that you relax on rather than another go go go place. But they do need more cabanas I checked in online 12am on the dot and they were all already sold out to guest who are previous cruise customers.

The shoreside concierge has a way of snagging requested cabanas for the concierge guests right at 12:01 am 120 days out. If the higher levels of castaway club guests don't get them, the concierge guests do. Disney is making a fortune with the cabanas. They really could build 10 more and earn the investment back within a month.
