What is this 40th presentation? Music and dancing? Press Conference?
This just makes me even sadder about participating in Wine & Dine... I'll have to make a point of being in a good spot at the Sports Complex to be able to see Wishes.
Why on earth they did Wine & Dine the same day is beyond me. We would have participated if it were on Friday or Sunday night.
There's also an official Mom's Panel meet at the Yacht Club on the 1st. It's like one hand doesn't know what the other is doing sometimes...
Thanks for the heads up, Steve!
I agree - it appears they like to hold it on the first weekend of Food & Wine, but c'mon guys! At least next year for Epcot's 30th, the 1st is on Sunday. I was secretly selfishly hoping there either wouldn't be a special show or it would have a "preview" performance on the 30th. Ah, well - such is life.
Actually, October 1st is on a Monday just as it was on the 25th anniversary of the park.
I am so excited that Disney pulled out all the stops for this momentous event! (Insert sarcasm here) I mean why have additional attractions or anything supers special when we can have cupcakes and and extended fireworks show.
The way I see it is, just because Meg Crofton and other TDO executives never get invited to birthday parties doesn't mean that they shouldn't give Walt's dream its due rewards...
I am officially off my soapbox.
You realize they just announced a $500 mil expansion yesterday right?

That was what I was going to say. We got the big announcement everyone has been waiting for, so the fact that the celebrations are going to be a bit limited doesn't surprise or bother me.
wonder if there will be commerative park maps that day?
I'd love to see "new" vintage maps set out for the day.
