I think for tomorrow my predictions for the “big” announcement is going to be AK.

Either Moana or Zootopia maybe even both. It makes too much sense.

Other “easy” ones I can see:

1. Updates on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
2. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn to be rethemed to Tiana’s
3. Name of EPCOT’s new fireworks show possibly a look
4. Figment M & G
5. World Celebration
6. EPCOT new music score
7. Journey of Water opening date

For Disneyland:

1. Update on the King Thanos attraction at DCA (probably just a small mention)

For a wildcard:

1. Spaceship Earth refurb
2. Avatar mention at Disneyland (this is very unlikely)

General housekeeping:

1. Official announcement of D23 Expo 2024

I think MK would be at next year’s D23. Fingers crossed for tomorrow and looking forward to discussing on the forums!

Okay, as promised….
Here is a photo of all of the fun things that came in the event goodie bag.
All were packaged in the various pockets of these large padded Lug backpacks which attendees could choose three colors of.

All I can say is….wow.
I attended a D23 Expo a few years ago, and the goodie bag for that event was pretty paltry compared to this sizable heap of swag.

Some neat surprises here…I was not at all expecting so much and such nice things to be included.

The patches and Oswald pin are pretty nice!
The Disney Studios tray is metal….and dig that swag looking Disney Cruise Line MB+!
The red ‘shape’ on the left is a plastic Ariel cookie cutter.

I think my favorite item is the scented Timothy Mouse plush.
Smells so good…although I cannot quite figure out what the scent is supposed to be emulating.
So darn cute…in his own little container!

Very cool haul, I have to ask did you pop the Lorcana pack?

Anything good in there? Love playing Lorcana.

Those pins are also very cool.

Josh and I are meeting up at Disney Springs tonight.
I’m buying him a few drinks so he will get a little toasted and then I can just ask him what he will be telling the attendees tomorrow.
I will report back later if I have any big scoops!

gonna make a bet:
with attendance apparently down, bad PR from their film and TV branches regarding strikes, Disney needs a solid win for the parks: feeling kinda good about imagination 4 right now to bring locals back

As someone who constantly comments on how Disney can’t afford to lose capacity by shutting down operating rides, closing and replacing Imagination is probably the one thing they could do that wouldn’t hurt short term. How few people even go to that pavilion these days? Is Imagination ever not a walk on?

That last D23 presentation still stands out as one of the most hilariously bizarre moments in Disney history since I first visited Disneyland as a wee lad back in 1992!

I assume they have learnt their lesson and can't toy with people's emotions as they did last time in teasing something new coming to Journey Into Imagination... only for it to be a meet-and-greet! Hopefully they realise you either just announce that and move on or do a big build up and then surprise us all with a full-blown JII redo. Or, who knows, maybe the good news will be that Zootopia won't be going into DAK. The bad news is that Imagination will now become the Zootopia pavilion.
