We are going on our 1st cruise in October to bahamas, me,DH and DD13. We have booked a deluxe oceanview stateroom with navigator verandah category 7B. I'm not sure what this means other than being told there is an "obstructed view." I want my fan to have a great time do theyll want to cruise again. I'd appreciate any advice. Tx.

Navigator's Verandah just means the deck is slightly smaller and may have an obstructed view.
Here's a few pics so you get the idea:

Exterior view - its the one of the bottom-left with the slightly obstructed deck:

So as you can see - it's not that bad. Still plenty of a view. You and your family are going to have a great time on a Disney Cruise, even without a verandah - this is just a bonus! Your daughter will love the teen club, guaranteed. Plus the pools and aquaduck and so much more! It's hard for our family to plan any non DCL vacations because we always end up saying "well for that much, we might as well spend X dollars more and just take another cruise!"

The navigator's verandahs on the Dream and Fantasy are very different than the Magic and Wonder. I'm not a fan of the Magic and Wonder's versions, but the Dream and Fantasy wouldn't bother me.

On the Dream and Fantasy, they orginally didn't even have navigator's verandahs. They reclassified some staterooms after some complained about the obstructions. Most of them only have a small section on the side where the metal on the ship overlaps the verandah, thus partially obstructing the view.

It's pretty minor in my opinion. Now of I paid the same as someone next to me who had no obstruction I would be irritated, so I think the reclassification was correct in my opinion. But I wouldn't mind it at all if it had saved me some money!

If you don't mind posting your stateroom number I may be able to find you a picture!

Y'all are so awesome! I appreciate all the info! Our stateroom is 7182. Is that a "good location?" I've been reading about noise from decks and clubs?! Thanks!

Read 2 reviews of the Dream stateroom 7182. One said there was no out of the ordinary noises or vibrations. Both reviews said great location very convenient. Both mentioned the partial obstruction of the verandah but it looks like both were written before the reclassification so its possible those people weren't aware of that prior to sailing. Sounds good to me. If you go to DCL's website & find the deck plans for your ship you can see where your room is in relation to elevators, stairs, etc. You can also look at the decks above & below you to see what is where your room is. :)

Sweetpee, where did you find these reviews? If it would be illegal to post where, please PM it to me. Thank you!
