What?!?! I'm not planning on going in 2018.. maybe I'll have to squeeze a trip in somewhere ;).

Given that info- My vote is Yes on the plan!
seriously it makes it so much more worth it for any plan. that's why I feel like there will end up being restrictions after the first experimental year... QS or TS each adult can order beer, wine or a cocktail as their drink. Kids can now order specialty N/A drinks and milkshakes included on the plan.

Sounds like a good deal for you guys then. I wish I could put away that amount of food. LOL

LOL i don't know how he does it. I know I for sure will be going home with leftovers but thats ok this time because we are finally staying in a AKL villa with a microwave!

From the Disney site:

A single-serving alcoholic beverage includes items such as:

  • Beer or Cider
  • Wine or Sangria
  • Mixed Drinks and Specialty Cocktails
Most beer, wine and mixed drink beverages included, some exceptions apply. Guests must be 21 or older and present valid ID to be served alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages may only be redeemed with a Quick-Service or Table-Service meal entitlement.

Not saying the 2018 plan isn't a good deal, but it sounds like it isn't carte blanche on wine selections and pricier high-end liquor.

DW isnt a big eater and I usually am not either unless we dine out with friends. But when we go to WDW I always eat more than at home. I'm not usually a breakfast person but at WDW its breakfast to start off every day.
We have done the deluxe plan before but it doesnt work for us because of the smaller amount of food DW eats and I just cant be stuck inside restaurants that much time. I'm too anxious to get going in the parks. But it sounds like it would work for you and it would save money which is a plus plus for your situation. The other good thing about it will be that it gives you more choices of Disney menu items to try out. Enjoy.

And that is where I say the Free Dining promotion is a great deal, I would never pay out of pocket though, better off buying gift cards from Target and getting he 5% discount every time you buy a gift card, they add up, then have the gift card as the card you use to pay for your meals

I agree with you, my DW is not a big eater so we go with using gift cards for dining. Do as you do buy them at a discount in advance. Works for us but every ones situation is different, best advice plan ahead and pick what works for you
