Can you still see HEA?? 7

Can you still see illuminations??

So basically you can't stand where you want, when you want anymore?

So does your park ticket entitle you to stand any where you want?

As long as you weren't standing in an area that was off-limits/fenced off, yes.

Because trees grow bigger.

Wait, they haven't removed them all yet? ;)

Alright, finally had time to catch up on this thread. Heading to Disneyland tomorrow so I might be away for a while again.

The issue with the Cabanas was that they ruined the sight lines in Tomorrowland. Also, Disney used to be about making sure every guest felt like a VIP. Nobody got special treatment (unless you were part of Club 33, a politician, or a celebrity). Now, with the cabanas, which were visible to all guests, it most likely made those who couldn't afford them or didn't want to spend the money feel inferior.

Thanks Scud,
I never thought about the "sight line" view honestly. I thought they were pretty cool for the reasons I had stated. My family travels "en masse" lol, we go to Disney 10-15 deep some times and my first thought was this would be so cool for a mid afternoon break for the gang.

I have to admit the money thing is an unfamiliar concept to me, lol do people feel inferior if some one drives a Benz and they don't? I mean, Disney itself has different hotel categories at different price points and different restaurants price points in the parks for the ability to reach everyone. I don't see it as "special" treatment. special treatment imo is when some one is singled out free for some thing or an activity. for example if your family is picked to open up the parade, that's special treatment or if you take a Disney cruise and you've been invited to dine with the captain. The cabanas are open to anyone who wants to pay for them. just like a backstage tour.

Keeping up with the Jones has never been my thing so if some one can afford some thing at Disney that I can't, I definitely don't feel "inferior". hopefully my kids have learned that.

Anyhoo, have a great time at Disneyland. post some pictures in the trip report will ya. I've never been.
