Four parks in one day sounds like the worst way ever to spend a day at WDW.
Instead of enjoying one or two parks a lot, you would prefer a little time at each one and wasted travel time too? Not for me, but if you do this, I hope you have fun. Seems like the opposite of fun to me.

I’ve been hearing a lot about people managing to do toy story land rides without waiting crazy lines when they go at night. You’d have to check park hours to make sure it won’t interfere with illuminations. I would think rope drop MK because every time I do that I manage to do most of the main rides before the larger crowds come in. As for Epcot and AK maybe use fast passes for one of those two parks? Make sure to plan very well and leave a lot of time to transfer from park to park because the buses aren’t always there quickly.

I would not try to do three or four parks in one day. Not only will there be a lot of travelling time between parks, but you will be going through four entrance checks, four trams, four parking lots ...

We've done two parks many times, that was fun. For us, one a day is our favorite stategy.

Are you only going to be there one day? We did the 4 parks 1 day in March but didn’t have to worry about getting into Toy Story Land. Started at AK bus to HS boat to Epcot and finished up monorail to MK. Happy to say we’ve been to WDW many times so now we are working on some of the challenges.

We always get the park hoppers and utilize them a lot. Weve never hopped to more than one other park at a time. I'm frustrated enough waiting for buses, wasted time traveling, going through more bag checks and having to wait for guests to figure out how to press their fingers on the entry pad.

Though I personally have no interest in doing this, the wasted travel time, I can understand why one would want to. The only reason that would seem exciting to me would be to do all of a certain type of ride at each park. An example would be, all the coasters, all the spinners, all the main attractions, all the shows, all the ice cream stops, etc.

I think WDW use to offer special tickets to do some type of an adventure to multiple parks, the only one that comes to mind would be the Ultimate Day of Thrills VIP Tour. I can not remember if this was all four parks of not though. Something of this nature could reduce your wait times and travel times, though at an expense.

Well, if you’re determined to try then this is what I might try. Assuming you are staying onsite. And since it’s next week assuming you don’t have FPs for any of the really big rides (FoP, slinky etc).

Rope drop (EMH) DHS. Do Slinky and say TSMM first, then whatever else (ToT, RnR, Star Tours).

Hop to AK, where you could try for an EE fastpass now. Maybe another FP if you can get something else you want.

As soon as you tap in for EE (or the first), get onto MDE and book something for MK. If you only book one at AK you could book 2 for MK or 1 for each of MK and Epcot. You could get almost anything bar 7dmt, PP and maybe Space at MK. You may get Soarin at Epcot for the evening.

Lunch at flame tree, then hop over to MK in the afternoon.

Finish up at Epcot since you want to see Illuminations.

And post an update to let us know how you did.

However, in the summer heat I wouldn’t try it. Maybe in February :p

We are heading down for a fairly unplanned trip to WDW next week. Originally, we were just going to spend the day in DHS to see TSL, but we decided to get hoppers instead and possibly try to go to all the parks in one day. What is your advice for doing this? We don't have any fastpasses yet, because we haven't yet bought the tickets. And we want to make sure we see Slinky Dog Dash for the first time and Illuminations one last time.

To be perfectly honest, my advice is to not try and do all 4 parks. I’ve done it before, and it ends up not being that much fun. You lose time traveling between parks that would be better spent just enjoying a park, and you’re just rushing from place to place a lot of the time.

Go to DHS at rope drop, do the new Toy Story stuff and whatever else you can fit in at DHS in the morning. Head over to Epcot around lunchtime, your choice to either eat lunch at the Studios or Epcot based on your preference for the dining options. Then spend the rest of the day at Epcot and be in a good spot at night for illuminations

Don’t believe you can book the next park until your three are consumed?? And certainly not across multiple different parks at once

Yes you can! Since summer 2016, a little known but very useful feature. Glad to share it though. Very handy if you can only get say Slinky or FoP on your last day but really want to end up your trip at MK.

You can book up to 3 in advance in one park.

But if you choose not to, to only book one (or two) in the first park, you can then book the remainder of your 3 initial FPs in any other park.

You could book FoP. Tap in, then immediately book Soarin and TSMM if they’re available.

The difference is between initial FPs, of which you can have 3. And the phrase in advance which must be all in the same park.

Nah! Sorry, I like to tell people how to make the best of their trip.

I have the luxury of time when I visit. 2 weeks, sometimes more. But that’s only every 3 or 4 years.

Others only have 3 or 4 days. Why not help them? I don’t mean that in a a criticising way, just to explain why I let people know about this.

I find people here on wdwmagic just aren’t often aware of some of the Yet on the DIS and TP they’re much more aware of how to maximise the system to their benefit - and not by circumventing the rules, just by using the system to it’s maximum potential.

Four parks in one day isn’t much fun. Most of it is spent wasted getting from one place to the other and rushing to do it. If Toy Story Land is a must then head there first thing and then either spend half the day at DHS and then half the day at Epcot. If you really want to push it then start at TSL, then head over to Magic Kingdom and then hop on the monorail in the evening in time for Illuminations.

I'd say 3 parks is doable - 4 I think you just go past the point of worth it.

Do something like DAK at opening to see Pandora.. maybe EE. Then head to DHS or EPCOT depending on what FPs you can get to do 2-3 headliners there.. eat a late lunch. Then head to MK for the evening... do as much as you can... top it off with the fireworks.

Or... try doing DAK last, to see Pandora at night, and try to get in line for FOP before park close. But I think MK has more to offer and the fireworks.. so for the 'open ended' portion.. I'd prefer to be at MK.

The hardcore twist to this is... leverage the DHS super-early openings.. and start with TSL... then leave for DAK and be there for opening. But honestly... I don't think TSL would be worth that extra insanity IMHO.
