Defacing of Toy Story Mania queue continues!

A few years ago my wife and I had lunch with an imagineer. That is an awesome experience btw. But one question he was asked was if he could redo anything on any ride he worked on what would it be? And his answer was redoing the queue for Toy Story. He said he couldn't believe how many things get messed up daily. It is a shame that people can't control themselves.

I did that ride, I didn't notice anything like that there. Disney must clean up nicely at the end of the day. People really should find other things to do to keep themselves entertained. Ruining the scenery. tisk tisk

the cost justification is not there...nobody will cancel there vacation because of this...why spend money to fix something thats not a "problem"
No people won't cancel their vacation but it detracts from their experience. More importantly, people are defacing a product that Disney has created and Disney is going to have to repair it eventually costing the company money.

you are correct the repair cost is a constant cost though they will need to fix it at some point and a CM surely wont be able to stop it ALL only reduce it....thus cleanup IE repair is needed in each scenario but in one you have one less CM to pay. secondarily it is likely that the fixtures/paint ect will need replacing and such anyway at one point

The only answer is for decent guests to complain. If they got lot's of emails, phone calls and letters from people demanding something be done and threatening to not return otherwise then they'd have to take it seriously. They probably figure if they threw everyone out who did it, then these people wouldn't return again and they'd lose the future money these people would spend. However if they truly believed that more decent people would stop coming because of it, it would make more financial sense to tackle the problem? Get a petition started online maybe and if enough sign it then send it to Disney and copy the media in, however lots of individual complaints would probably be more concerning to Disney.

A pity.

How many months has it been since the painting was hung in the new BTMR queue, promptly defaced within days (or was it hours..?) of installation...and has to yet to be replaced...?

Three...four..months now...?

Will it ever return..?

One Little Spark...
Because Disney doesn't trust their employees and the they don't empower them. A Cast Member could only politely say "Please don't do that" all the while being laughed at as the actions go on without consequce. Disney would rather accept unacceptable behavior than have somebody complain, even Iftar complaint is without basis.

They should get this guy to stand there and say it. Bet they'd listen...

Sadly true. I once saw a kid whoop the crap out of several bushes and a custodial cast member with a plastic pirate sword and the cast members played along like it was just fine.
