decoration removal time

Just wondering when all the Christmas decorations usually get taken down? I assume they stay up through New Year's but how long after.

it looks like we may not get to go before Christmas now, so I want to know how long after we can go and still see the decorations. Thanks.

The don't come down until around January 8 but I think it was around the 12th or 13th one year.

I believe they may actually come down a little earlier than that. Usually a few days after New Year's the dismantling begins. It may take them some time to get everything down though....

They do move pretty quick getting it down. One day its there and the next its gone.

Do you think most of the resort decorations will still be up the first few days of January? I know 4 families going on their first trip to WDW, and all arrive Jan.1st or 2nd. I told them to check out resort decorations, but then I realized they may be down, so perhaps my advice was not good.

In 2009, the Christmas decorations were taken down before Marathon weekend (approximately January 9-10), but they were still up that same weekend in 2010. :shrug:

Last year the decorations were left up until January 14th.

I think the decorations were left up late last January because it was so dang cold!

They come down pretty quick because every other year we go the first week in January and we have never seen them.
