Deconstruction and reconstruction of ride pictures

There is a tribute site to Horizons out there on the web. It includes deconstruction pictures as well as some more information on Horizons. I would love to find the same thing for World of Motion. I searched and could not find anything. At the very least, I would love to see any conversion pictures from WoM to Test Track. Does anyone have anything or know of a good site to go to find these pictures?

Its really shocking to see how many people loved that ride. Surely it cant have been doing very well if it was taken down though.

The direction that this thread has taken reminds me of a favorite poem. Please take the time to enjoy.

What Fifty Said

When I was young my teachers were the old.
I gave up fire for form till I was cold.
I suffered like a metal being cast.
I went to school to age to learn the past.

Now I am old my teachers are the young.
What can't be molded must be cracked and sprung.
I strain at lessons fit to start a suture.
I go to school to youth to learn the future.

Yeah really huh? These would be the same fan-boys who would complain it needs a refurb and be updated! :ROFLOL:

Test Track is so much better then WOM

Yep. You're right. A ride that goes 101 everyday, has constant audio issues, doesn't fit the EPCOT model of edutainment, is much better than one of the best dark rides Disney created, that not only inspired, taught, looked to the future, and had the largest cast of AA's ever.

Oh NO did Glee and I hurt a fan boy's feelings? WOM and Horizons are gone man, their not coming back and the replacement attractions are popular themselves. Can you really tell me that TT is not popular? I know there is a group that does not enjoy MS I myself dont really care for it after riding it a few times but alot of people like it.

Just because someone doesnt share the same opinion as you do doesnt mean their ignorant! :D

Hurt my feelings? Oh dear, no.

However, you're changing arguments. We're not arguing popularity. We were arguing which ride is better. Glee made an invalid statement. Yes, Test Track is popular, but WoM was by far a better ride. And I do enjoy TT, I just don't think it promotes the EPCOT message.

And MS, is hardly popular. I don't think I've ever waited more than 20 minutes for it, even during high season.

As for the rides coming back, I'm pretty sure we all know that's not going to happen.

Just because someone doesnt share the same opinion as you do doesnt mean their ignorant! :D

Absolutely. But you better base your opinion on some facts. Like TT is better than WoM. How so? Why do you feel this way? Etc, etc....

Just stop.....:hammer: This whole discussion is about opinion..... NOT facts. You feel WoM is the greatest thing ever and others think TT is way better.

People are not ignorant for having an opinion different than yours but you certainly are there for ripping people who have the tanasity to voice their opinion.

Sorry - I think the word you're looking for is "tenacity".

Actually the discussion was this:

No where do I say anyone's opinion is not valid. I state that if you should state such an opinion, give reasons why. Back the argument up.

It's a simple part of educated discussion. Provide me reasons why you think like you do, and I'll do the same. It's part of the fun. Like I said, I like TT, but I do not find it up to par with WoM. I gave my reasons. Now let the kiddies, explain why they like TT more. Even if they can't compare it to WoM, because they never rode it. :zipit:

Hang around these parts, and you'll see we have a select few members who fire off, what you call "opinions" every chance they get without so much as a reason on why they think that. One such person started that here.

:brick:

Tenacity is one thing I've never been told I've been before.

I, like most people who apparently don't know, wonder why an attraction as "legendary" as WoM would be removed if it was still relevant. From many people I know who have been there WAY more than I have and have more knowledge of WDW history think WoM became outdated and antiquated.

IMO, I do think TT fits well in EPCOT and although it does break down quite a bit (never when I'm there however), it has aged well since 1997/1998. MS also matches EPCOT's theme IMO abd I personally enjoy the ride and the pre-ride quite a bit.

The TT theme was alive before the WOM theme. I suspect the idea was scraped more because the technology was not available yet to do what they did with TT. I for one love WOM more then TT, but at the end of the day, TT brings in far more ticket sales then WOM did. I suspect M:S does the same thing. I bet though, that if they were to do an update that brought in the history int he beginning, then the test track part and then a little bit of the future at the end.. you would get both rides in one. Result would be happy fanboys and continued improvement in ticket sales.
