Decisions for non park day???

Either Fun Spot would be a good way to spice up a lazy pool day, especially since they're open late.

I'm more of a fan of the Orlando location. You can definitely fit both it and SeaWorld into the same day if you do SeaWorld first, and maybe eat dinner somewhere on the strip in between.

Yep. Last time we went to Fun Spot we arrived after dinner, around 7:30 or 8, stayed until midnight. Fun Spot may have closed a little earlier, but I know the Slingshot and Vomatron were open til 12am.

Theme parks don't tend to launch rockets into space, at least not for real (unless you listen to some debating the Star Wars hotel ;)). Or have a history of perhaps man's greatest ever technological achievement.
Don’t tell that to all of the Americans who try to get “excused absences” for their children because “Disney is Educational!” ;)

I saw a brilliant (?) letter template that listed all those "educational" benefits.

Like "learning first hand about the social behaviours such as of crowds and queueing" ;)

Priceless stuff :banghead::banghead::banghead:

I often see posts on Disney FB pages stating something similar. I don’t know how anyone can read those letters without bursting into laughter.. and a few eye rolls.

No, but you pay admission to a themed environment to browse exhibits and experience attractions.

I will add I love it.

OK! I'll give you that. I'd still say a museum and working spaceport, but I guess it fits that definition!

Honestly I couldn't go to Florida without visiting. Also why as yet we haven't made it to Disneyland, but we will - when we can combine it with Hawaii maybe.

I bet the teachers pin those letters up in the staff rooms. I know we have a good giggle at some parents' attempts at justifying their kid's absence.

The best one I heard, as a parent, was that a holiday "would give the rest of the class a chance to catch up with XXXXXX". You can imagine how that went down with the other mums in the playground. The kid was a good reader but seriously socially imature; naturally her parents thought her a genius :banghead:

KSC is always awesome...but maybe now more than ever with some of the new exhibits. Umm...Legoland I can't attest to...

Seaworld is fun...even more fun if you take it for what it is. The wait times for attractions the last time I was there was very minimal. It's something I'd do again...regardless of "Blackfish" and that whole fiasco. Take Seaworld with a forgiving sort-of attitude.

So our "non-park day" on Wednesday, March 7 has now become a "half-non-park day", as we will likely spend the late afternoon and evening at MK for evening EMH. That will make Friday (our scheduled MK day) a bit less hectic.
