My family and I are traveling to the World Dec.1-Dec.8. ADR's are already made, MVMCP tix are purchased, and I personally have already started my countdown! I hate to even think about the last day b/c it's so darn depressing. However, we have an ADR for O'hana on our last evening at 6:30. The MK is scheduled to close that night at 10. I stress out over getting to soak up every last minute of the last night at the MK. With that said, should we keep our O'hana ADR and only have a hour or so afterward to enjoy the MK or cancel it and get a QS meal so we have more time to enjoy the last night? I LOVE O'hana and the last night was the only night I was able to snag an ADR! Areegghhhh!!!

Tough call....but I love 'Ohana that much that I would have no problem with keeping the reservation, do you have an early flight the next day? We always checkout first thing in the morning, leave our carry on bags with the concierge and hit up the parks until we have to leave on the DME.

If it were any other park, I'd say keep your ressie...but there's something about MK that makes it a little more special. You'll get to the park, have to leave an hour later, and you'll be wishing you had more time during Wishes. ;) Go to the park and eat QS!!!!

But you said you love Ohana, so it's really up to you. Do you have another "free" night where you don't have anything planned? If so, just wait for a table instead of making an ADR. It is kind of inconvenient, but if you like it all that much then you should :)

If park time is important, I think I would drop the O'hana ADR like a hot potato. We like O'hana a lot, but you are talking about a restaurant vs entire theme park...no comparison...theme park all the way for your last evening...and this is coming from someone who is not even a huge theme park fan. We enjoy the resorts now as much, if not more, than actual park time.

I would stick with the ressie and show up early, maybe at 6 or 5:45 then you might be able to get in earlier. Our dinners at 'Ohana usually only take about one hour so you should still have time for the MK afterwards.

I agree with @zurgandfriend. Sounds like you can do both. If your already at the park all day its great to go relax and have your favorite dinner and being at 6:30 IS early to me so you still have time to enjoy walking around the park in the evening. Ill be there the same time as you.

Personally, I would cancel or reschedule it if you could. I don't like to leave the park on my last day until I am leaving for the day. I don't want to miss a moment of the magic either. :)

The more I think about it, the more I think webcam do both and we will for sure get there a little early to try to snag an earlier table.

We have a few other days at the MK! Will be seeing the castle lighting for sure!
I cant believe you just posted this. I was just reading about the castle lighting. You would think Ive never been to Disney before with all the things Im discovering. I looked up times for this event and they only have them available for the next few weeks. Is this normal. Will I not know until the month of?

I'm talking about the castle lighting that is done for Xmas time. Which event are you talking about? The projection show that goes on before Wishes?

Disney definitely doesn't do the Xmas lights over the next few weeks. They start putting them up, but they won't light them until November.

Lol...I know christmas lights arent up yet. Im sure Im mixed up. When I looked up lighting of the castle it came up with Celebrate The Magic which looks like its done nightly and special at christmas time. Here is the link. https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/entertainment/magic-kingdom/celebrate-the-magic/
So what exactly is done at christmas that yaw are talking about. I dont want to miss anything spectacular. We will be seeing Wishes.

Not being an 'Ohana fan, I'd skip it and soak up the magic. Bt if you love 'Ohana, you should go and have your meal there. :)
