OK, so I've never really sat down and had an actual dinner at one of the park or resort restaurants, but plan on doing so this time around (11/17-11/21!) I've looked up a couple of places online, but would like to get a couple of suggestions from you guys who normally dine when you visit the parks - as opposed to a quick sitdown at Cosmic Ray's, Pizza Planet, etc.

We're going to be there longer than we usually are, so we wanted to take advantage and go out the first night we're in DW. There's not really a specific place I'm looking to go, maybe just take in a couple of suggestions about certain places and go from there. So if you guys can drop names of a couple of places where we can go and enjoy ourselves for a decent price then by all means. I hope to make reservations by the beginning of next week.

Thanks for your help, guys. Oh, and no seafood, lol.

I'd hurry up and decide or you may be out of luck. As it is you may be out of luck for any of the more popular places. You didn specify whether you wanted a park or resort. The first few that come to mind (and that you may still have a chance at an ADR) are:
Ohana
Whispering Canyon
Cape May Cafe
Boma (if you want to try different foods)

I'd call and ask the operator on the WDW Dine line what they recommend. They actually know quite a bit about the restaurants in my experience. I will tell you, I
ve been working on our ADR for out mid-December trip, and the picking are slim. I'd just call and ask them what they have left.

Ah. I figured I had gotten on the horse a little too late, but the idea didn't cross my mind until recently. Thanks for your help anyhow & feel free to keep the info coming. ;)

Since you don't usually do table service, why not go all the way and do a dinner show? The Hoop De Doo is pricey but very worth it.

I don't usually have kids in tow - and thought the Character dining might be a little much. But tried it last trip - loved it. Started with a breakfast at Ohana and it started the trip just right. Might want to check one out.
