December Crowds.

We have reservations at POFQ for Dec 11-15 confirmed. Always check several times afterwards to see if prices might have changed.
Today I checked and they showed NO availability at almost EVERY resort. There were only a very few very expensive rooms at four different resorts. I really do not remember ever seeing almost no rooms anywhere on property.
I specifically targeted my dates to avoid the Pop Warner and Cheer competitions but it appears that what used to be a slower week might be very busy.

There is no longer a slow week in Disney, they're busy 52 weeks out of the year.

I suspect you waited too long to book a trip, I usually try to book 499 days in advance, and I recall shortly after that the resort we picked filled up.

It seems like everything related to Disney, if you don't book/reserve anything at the first chance you can, you may be in for a difficult time.

12/07 to the 13th has availability in the All Star Sports, check that out, and/or play with your dates to find something that may work for you

December has gotten very popular because of its beautiful Christmas theming and atmosphere, the MVMCP events, Candlelight procession and other features. People are still going by past years predictions of low pre-Christmas crowd numbers and have targeted the times that used to be slow. Some TA's still tell travelers that its an ideal time to visit even though every week in December has increased in the number of guests. It still wont be the peak of what you would find at Christmas week, so you should enjoy as much as you can by planning well and being prepared for longer lines than you were used to seeing.
