Yes, the ABC Christmas Day parade is usually taped the first Saturday in December. As long as you avoid the MK that day you will befine. I was there in 2008 the day they taped, and we went to DHS and walked on to pretty much every ride.
I'm sure you know this, but there are alot of holiday happenings this time of year... Be sure to check out:
All the deluxe resorts, especially GF, BC, Boardwalk and WL for their amazing christmas decorations
Osborne Spectacle of Dancing Lights at DHS. This is located on the Streets of America. It is an awesome holiday light show
Candlelight Processional at Epcot. It is a retelling of the christmas story with choirs and a celebrity narrator. It is very moving. Also holidays around the world. Each country in world showcase has their version of santa and they tell a christmas story. Pretty Neat!
Lastly, the MK hosts MVMCP on selected nights. You do have to pass extra to attend this event. Basically they close down the MK and only people with tickets can go. their are special dance parties, a christmas parade and Holiday Wishes... There are also hot chocolate and cookie staions located thru out the park. It is a really fun event.
I placed links here for you from all ears, which is an amazing site when you are planning a Disney vacation, showing you all about the holiday happening. You picked a GREAT time to visit Disney. We will me there too!!! :sohappy:
