It's definitely expensive. Some of the 2015 rates surprised even me. 
I do think this means discounts will become more of a norm. There are deals out there!

I am glad that I am booked for Alaska this summer as I think next summer will be much higher. But I must say when looking at other cruise lines, inside and ocean view rooms are comparable in price and an inside room on the Wonder is bigger than an inside room on say NCL. If comparing balcony rooms other cruise lines are much less expensive.
The Wonder is still reasonable for March 2015 but the Fantasy spring break cruises have really increased . It would have been almost $5,000 for March 2015 and that is an increase from $3600 in 2013. Fortunately for us, work wise I cannot do a 7 day cruise in 2015. With the crazy expensive airfare for March break and the jump in cruise fare, I don't think we will be doing another 7 day cruise in March, but not sure I want to do the Wonder. May have to try another cruise line.

I agree with mkmommy. The biggest price increases were for the Fantasy, and only certain weeks. Some weeks were the same price as 14!

It is out of "normal" vacation range for us as well.
One of the factors is also their choice of ports. If there were more sailings out of NYC or Bayonne during times when we could go, then maybe. But having to add airfare to the cost of the cruise makes it a lot more expensive.
I can get a 6 day / 5 night sailing on RC out of Bayonne to Bermuda for the second week in April for $495 pp inside stateroom right now. That value spread gets larger and larger.

If you haven't looked already check out the revised beverage packages w/RCI. We did the premium and found it very worthwhile.
