Maybe with a new name like Disney's California Acquisitions?

I don't think they're going to change the name. The case for doing that was stronger in 2012, than it is now.

To be honest, I think it will look mostly the same as it does now. There may be more room to makes changes in Hollywood, but past that, I think they will start working on areas that are underutilized: like the remaining Paradise Gardens area and the area north of Pixar Pier.

Maybe a swap out of the Mermaid ride for something Pixar themed. A new movie for Soarin' at some point.

I've said it before but its impossible to have any nostalgia for a park that has demolished itself every 6 years. Especially when that park was always lacking attractions.

Whats left from opening day that hasn't been demolished or rethemed? The Grizzly Rapids? Golden Zephyr? I think that's it.

The most popular addition to the park in its early years (Tower of Terror) was also removed. I really don't know why they take from this park instead of adding to it.

Maybe the corny 2000s schtick would've been cool in a "retro" way if it had stuck around this long.

This is a pic of my daughter on the now defunct Golden Stinger(?) on opening day. This pic was published in the also defunct Disney Magazine. Pretty good shot for being taken with a disposable camera over my shoulder. I told her to let go and fly and well, you can see by the look on her face the joy she was feeling. Ah memories!

Don’t forget about the Jumping Jellyfish!!!

The sign changing to Knott's California Adventure
Being sold to Knott’s would actually open up more opportunities for original elements added to the park... but then we’d risk further degradation of actual ride quality.

Looks like one of the most immersive Disney attractions ever created.

What DCA really needs is more Pixar, and a statue of John Lasseter with woody.
I never was a fan of the praise he kept getting. Everyone kept calling him "the next Walt" because he liked toys and trains.

He always seemed creepy to me, just the way he came across.

This was a man who was literally on the D23 stage drunk to announce Pixar Pier.

He got heaps of praise for ensuring Cars Land didn't get budget cuts. That's like praising James Cameron for ensuring Pandora came out to his liking.

The only purpose he served in WDI was adding his existing creations to the parks. I wonder how it would have turned out if he developed a dark ride based on a new IP designed for the park, and not based on an existing Pixar film.
