The photo cameras are inside what is themed to look like large water pipes that were broken apart when the shafts were hit with lightening. Take a look at outside pics to see this better and you can see they are really disguised well. Since the HTH sign does not cover the shafts as it does in WDW, the cameras couldn't be installed to the back of the sign.

[As an aside, CEO, is your avatar in any way related to the Imhotep animatronics for Revenge of the Mummy???]

What is obvious, even from the inside, are the themed pipes. I don't know why there are 3.

Yes, you're right. The doors opened up and the first things I noticed were the three cameras big as all outdoors staring at you. And they were rather large.

Can you actually make out 3 cameras? I would have thought in the 3 identical housings were 1 camera and 2 flash units...

Oh, yeah. There's no missing them. The camera appeared to have been in the top last row. So from that vantage point, as soon as the doors opened up, bam!! You'll see the cameras. I don't remembers the cams on ToT in MGM being that prominent. I thought they wanted to kind of hide them so you wouldn't know they were there.

I guess I would say I'm impressed. I love the mirror effect. It's really awesome. I would love to see that in our version, like possibly right after when the doors open to the drop shaft. That would rock.

Even though the Cali version looks great, I still think our is much better. From the building, to the queue, to even the longer dropping times, I think it still holds as the better one. :D

I've never noticed the ones in WDW (having been on the ride 20+ times). I'm sure I could spot them, but they didn't scream out like the ones on the DL version.

I think the assumption that on is a camera on the other are flashes is probably correct, however.

I like the story in this one more. It just seems more complete and adds more. Now, if they had the mirror and 5th Dimension room, along with all the current stuff, that would be one hell of a ride.
