All,
What does everyone carry in their Day Bag? So far I’ve got:
Spare clothing
Sun screen
Cooling towels
Cash
Zip lock bags

Any ideas on what else

Thanks everyone for the suggestions

The separate queue for visitors with bags, is it sufficiently longer

It's almost always longer, but not by much -- when one person in my family has to stop for bag check and the rest go through the "bagless" line, we're generally waiting for them to join us for a minute or less.

The entrance for guests w/o bags you typically keep on walking through without stopping. With a bag however you need to stop, open every zipper/pocket. Some security CMs are more thorough than others, and especially at busy times you could have a 5-10 minute wait. I don't think I've ever had to wait more than 10-15 minutes, and thats at park open when I've chosen a much more thorough CM.

Have a small Vera Bradley crossbody bag that holds ID, AP/DVC/TiW cards and credit card(s), lip balm, small coin purse, disposable poncho, sunglasses/reading glasses, phone, small tube of sunscreen, individual hand sanitizer/bug towelettes. And I carry a Brita filtered water bottle. That's it for me.

I would love to go with out a bag but cannot find shorts with cargo pockets for female. I carry: poncho, cell phone, battery pack, small wallet, plastic bag for wet rides and wet ponchos. Index card with day info- fast pass times, restaurant times. That's about it. I used to be a pack mule and now we all take turns carrying the bag. also water bottles on the side as I get thirsty. I dream of going without a bag but can't do it. Sometimes if we go to the park in the evening I can go without.
My DW doesn't like the length of the cargo shorts normally, but will wear them at the parks. We were able to find them at outfitters like BassPro or Cabela's. An added benefit is they are generally made out of materials that dry fast also.

We carry a backpack. Sweatshirts or room for sweatshirts weather depending, snacks, drinks, camera, video camera, phone, wallet, baby wipes or hand wipes, ponchos. We go to Disney in December so we also may have fleece jackets in there too.

I have several cargo shorts that I bought a various places over the years. Kohls will carry them and I also purchase on line.
I never bring a bag. I have my small wallet with the bare minimum(ID, 1 CC, DVC card, insurance card a bit of cash), my lip balm, a small baggie of ibuprofen, phone, and fuel rod. That is it. Never needed anything else in all of my visits(well except female stuff but then I just stuff my pockets and the good thing is that there is less and less throughout the day). With over 30 visits under my belt, I have found that I need less and less with every visit. If you pack all of this stuff and after 2 days you do not use any of it, leave it in your room. If there is an emergency and you need a bandaid, go to first aid. They are free there.

To each their own but for me I carry a lightweight backpack.

Usually with:
  • Baseball cap(s): To swap out as needed
  • Poncho in zip-lock bag (always carry a poncho whether for rain or wet ride)
  • Two water bottles: One each in net holders on each side of bag
  • Sunglass case: To put my glasses/sunglasses, usually for riding roller coasters.
  • Hardcopy itinerary: Printout from MDE. Handy if app is down.
  • Phone charger
  • Sometimes: Guidebook(s) from Unofficial Guide but that can weigh you down
Sounds like a lot but main area is mostly empty with above items mostly in other compartments. This allows for putting small gifts purchased, etc.

Firm believer in printing out and taking a hard copy of our itinerary with FastPass times and dining reservations with confirmation numbers. We've arrived at restaurants and CM can't find our reservation. If we have the confirmation number, they can usually pull it up. Saves time and aggravation.

And sometimes checking Fastpass time on a piece of paper is faster and easier than finding it on the app

This is the only thing I use, it's a small crossbody. It carries my cell phone, reading glasses, poncho, id, credit card, and loose tylenol. It is so small and light weight I don't even realize I'm wearing it most of the time. I don't even have to go through bag check. I take everything out, put them all in my pockets then roll up the bag and stick it in a pocket and walk through the no bags line. When I'm in the park I put everything back in the bag. Best investment ever! I don't know how people can wear backpacks when it is so hot.

No
I take a cinch/drawstring bag as it's super lightweight, and all we take in with us are ponchos, a small sunscreen if we need a top-up, sunglasses cases, and a portable phone charger. Then it's easy enough to put loose items from our pockets like phone, wallet etc into if we need to on a ride.

We will bring a couple of frozen bottles of water, wrapped in a towel with a couple of non frozen water. By the time the afternoon arrives the frozen bottles have mostly thawed, and are ready to drink. I also carry a 8X8 zip-lock with band-aids, individual packs of Advil, Bio-freeze, etc...

I thought I was the only advocate of bringing basic meds and first-aid stuff. 😀I know there are first-aid places but I like to have the basics to hand. Can’t remember a trip where someone hasn’t needed something - painkiller, antihistamine, blister plaster, antiseptic wipe for a scraped knee or elbow. That said, we are an accident prone lot.......
