My mom, aunt and I were in WDW to see the Christmas lights at Magic Kingdom and all the effects at PotC were working perfectly.
This:Question: Assuming they paid a bunch for the screen and they HAVE to keep using it, what would you have them project on it?
It would go through the same spiel that the animatronic used to go through before the drop.Would it talk, or just advertise The Lone Ranger?

Does anyone know why they removed the talking skull with the Jack Sparrow refurb? I've never heard an official reason. It would go through the same spiel that the animatronic used to go through before the drop.

They finally updated all the audio system from 1973 then right? My mom, aunt and I were in WDW to see the Christmas lights at Magic Kingdom and all the effects at PotC were working perfectly.
You're right, it probably shouldn't be warning you about the drop. But I still like the idea of having the skull and crossbones on the waterfall instead of a movie character. It could go through similar lines then Davy Jones or Blackbeard. That'd be nice, but isn't it way too early to tell people to sit down and hold on for a drop that isn't going to happen for another 45 seconds or so?
I'm honestly at a bit of a loss for what would be a good use of the screen.
Fire effects? Put it near the end of the ride after the keydog and project flames on it and add creaking timber sounds?
Personally, I'd give anything if the treasure caves in the first part of the ride could be expanded to Anaheim-like proportions and THIS track be added, spliced and looped on dozens of separately placed speakers.

Add dynamic projection effects over static skeleton props as they try to speak for extra giggles.
