Yes
Most everythings been working since parade taping day with the exception of the right-hand mermaid projection, the two on the left are fine, but the one on the right is just jaggies. Its literally been years since I've seen the ship bombardment area with fog, but its there again.

Question: Assuming they paid a bunch for the screen and they HAVE to keep using it, what would you have them project on it?
This:

It would go through the same spiel that the animatronic used to go through before the drop.

That'd be nice, but isn't it way too early to tell people to sit down and hold on for a drop that isn't going to happen for another 45 seconds or so?

I'm honestly at a bit of a loss for what would be a good use of the screen.
Fire effects? Put it near the end of the ride after the keydog and project flames on it and add creaking timber sounds?

Personally, I'd give anything if the treasure caves in the first part of the ride could be expanded to Anaheim-like proportions and THIS track be added, spliced and looped on dozens of separately placed speakers.

Add dynamic projection effects over static skeleton props as they try to speak for extra giggles.

Interesting, last time I was at Disneyland they had Blackbeard and Davy Jones alternate on that projection and on the up ramp lift spiel. I wonder why they never updated it out in Florida to do the same thing. It seems there are a lot of people in Florida that miss Davy too.

Yes. This. Or just get rid of the fog and bring back the awesome animatronic.
In my eyes, any animatronic is a million times better than any projection or screen.

You're right, it probably shouldn't be warning you about the drop. But I still like the idea of having the skull and crossbones on the waterfall instead of a movie character. It could go through similar lines then Davy Jones or Blackbeard.
