Hey everyone! last night was D23'S SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC NIGHT ON BROADWAY. The event was a viewing of Mary Poppins and then after the show Members were going to have the privilege of going back stage.

Well the night started with going to roll call to pick up our reserved tickets, and when made it to the window the man behind the ticket booth wasn't really sure what was going on with the D23 event when we asked him. Arriving to our seats which were located down towards the orchestra pit we realized that all the D23 members were sitting together, a few moments later a man named Jason came over to talk to us. He said that when the show ended we should stay in our seats and the magic would begin.

After the SUPERCALIFRAGILISTIC show we waited in our seats to be escorted backstage. Jason and 2 other cast members headed to the D23 section of guests and told us that we would be receiving our DVD's after the tour. We made our way back stage and we were greeted with the Bank's two story home. And there was Scarlett Strallen (Mary) and Adam Fiorentino (Bert) smiling and waiting to sign and take photos. After getting our stuff signed and taking our group photos Scarlett and Adam ran off to disrobe and go home. We were left with stage crew to ask what ever questions we could think of.

Although we didnt get to go anywhere else in the theater other then the stage it was an overall great time being able to get up to the Bank's home and take photos of it. Granted it would have been interesting to go into the orchestra bit, or even under the stage to see the Bank's kitchen it was a fantastic night.

here are some pics from the night!

I went to see Mary Poppins a few years ago...It was so great! A fun and great quality play. The theater was gorgeous, some of the most beautiful and intricate wall decoration I have ever seen. I can see from the pictures Disney added that. I guess I shouldn't be surprised but the building itself just seemed old and ornate- go Disney!

How did I not know about this event?

I really would have made an effort to be there. My kids have already seen Mary Poppins, so they would not complain (too much) if I went by myself.

I would have popped over into the City to catch this.

Oh well.
