D23 Epcot Forever Poster Series

I have a HUGE soft spot for the Universe of Energy. As a kid I never found it boring, and every time your theater car rolled into the primordial swamp, and you could see those big brontosaurus silhouettes, I got chills. I have very fond memories of that ride, and it's probably my second or third most favorite Epcot original attraction. Yeah, I was that kid!

When the ride closed down, I actually snagged three of the small dinos from the attraction that were saved before they gutted the place. So, I HAD to have the poster from last year... I'd buy the reissue in a second if they decide to do it. It's a great design, whether you love the ride or not. Here's hoping it still gets a reprint.

That's super awesome! It sucks to think about how much is completely lost when an attraction like that closes, always makes me happy to hear when little pieces get to live on with fans.

Sad that UOE wasn't put up for sale :(

Heh, tell me about it.

I am right up there with you.

There are way too many good ones in world discovery so I am sad they left this one out. I agree with @trainplane3 about having UoE doing better than WoL, but they could have done in it place of Mission Space too and it would do better. Disney forgets the nostalgia that made them an empire.

EDIT: Sorry I am bad self editor. LOL

LOL. Tbh, I am upset I missed WOL, but I am more upset about UOE.

They should have released each original Pavilion, they would have gotten more money from me.
UoE would've been neat to see. Still kinda surprised it didn't happen because of how fresh the attraction was compared to others. Oh and if you even decide to pick it up from a reseller (Wonders of Life), I really doubt there will be many that have it. It's a very rare piece. Checking now, there's not even a reseller selling it on eBay. That should say a lot of the run.

I am right up there with you.

Yep, nostalgia sells as proven below:

I think M:S happened because it was a park only, 100 release. While I don't care for the attraction, the poster looks great and has the pavilion at the bottom. I'm curious what they'll have metallic in it. At first I was thinking the black area to be matallic but it'd make more sense for that to be completely matte and have the planets and stars be metallic with the bluish area be just shiny (not the heavy glass metallic).

If people really want to see UoE happen then the only thing I can say is to message ShopDisney and Cyclops. I doubt they'd randomly do a single poster after the run is done but it'll let them know there's a demand.

Anyways, off to World Showcase. The most predictable releases for sure. While I'll still get most of them, I'm not as excited as I was for Nature, Discovery or Celebration.

Mission: Space is extremely unique in the sense that it's the worst attraction with the best merchandise. Some of the stuff made for Mission: Space is amongst the best looking EPCOT merch produced. This poster just adds to the tradition and I'm very excited for it.

Is there a blog post somewhere where the upcoming release *images* are shown? ...or is it just a quick decision when they finally pop up? You seem to know what subjects will be released.

The original blog post in January had the order of the "neighborhoods".

I did the same (but earlier in the day). It *looks* like everything went through, but with SD, I'm not counting on anything.
99% chance the order is fine. While they're technically past the order deadline, the prints are only time limited instead of run limited. I doubt they'll cancel orders for these (unless SD screws up and is weeks past the deadline).

Like the previous ones, everyone should have theirs shipped before the end of July. Hopefully we'll get some updates of the prints this time like with GotG. People certainly liked seeing the process.

In the interest of helping anyone that wants UOE land one of these prints (and not in the interest of helping out scalpers)...

It is a gorgeous print when seen in person. Mindblowing and a huge disapointment that it didn't get the large format and metallic ink treatment. 🤞they come to their senses and extend the run atleast one or two quarters to get some more in.

There are three of the LE's currently listed by "those that shall not be named" on "the site that shall not be named." Two stand alones and one as a combo with Horizons, Communicore, and Imaginations. (full disclosure - I don't have anything for sale on that site)

You're right there aren't many left on the reseller market and I'd expect the last few to eventually disappear at which point the best chance to find one will be at VanEaton or similar where they will surely pull a premium.

ExpressoBeans is showing an average price of $190 with a high of $350 (during the insanity period last year) and a low of $129 (about 3 weeks after release).

Someone could probably negotiate one of those sellers down some if they really want to have the print.

Ah sorry, I was referencing the new WoL print in the top area of my post. I wasn't specific and it got lost, went back and edited it in. There aren't any resellers for Wonders 2021. WoL 2021 will be a sleeper in the future.

Agreed, UoE will only get harder to find. It will definitely increase in value over time. But, for myself, I didn't buy them for reselling. I just liked the art a lot and wanted to own them.

I wasn’t going to get the larger prints but I saw that horizons was still for sale so I bought it. Why not? If it gets canceled cause it was left up no biggie.

WoL 2021 will be a sleeper in the future due to how rare it is but without the number in the corner, no one will ever know.

10-4. Agreed WOL 2021 is definitely a sleeper. We'll likely never know the run counts unless someone goes Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy on Disney and Cyclops and plants a mole deep in the organizations. If I had to guess I'd say WOL (and Moana for that matter) are probably in the 100-200 range with a chance WOL might not have even broken 100.

For any Disney or Cyclops cast members trolling the boards here's what you should print for the remaining 8 and some you should extend the run for. It'll make the fans happy, hit the best legacy/existing attractions and the new attractions that good marketing practice demands be featured.

W/S
1 - Gran Fiesta Tour
2 - Maelstrom
3 - Ratatouille
4 - Frozen
W/C
5 - Illumination
6 - Harmonious
7 - Imagination
8 - SSE
Extension Run
9 - UOE
10 - Test Track
11 - WoM
12 - Play! (should have an idea @ restart of Play! by then)
