I liked how we got WoL but UoE probably would've been a better move. They could've done a neat metallic effect on the rings in the background and the spines of the pavilion.*cough cough* They should've done Energy.
World Celebration is the last area they're doing so if those two happen, you got a while to wait. Gonna be hard to keep some wall space open just in case.Horizons serigraph, and UoE and WoM lithos ordered. Now, if I could just get serigraphs of Imagination and Spaceship Earth I can be done. May get some lithos of somethings in WS, but it's not a desperate need. And a new house. This one is lacking in available wall space.
Nah, shopDsisney just forgot. It is not listed in the fine print in the description:Yep - buy ‘em now before they realize it! I wonder if today’s SD free shipping promotion has something to do with it.
The only reason I can think of why they did WoL is to correct the color of the background. It looks red in the new serigraph version than in the old serigraphs. I almost wish they did more market research and asked the consumer what they wanted in this new run.I liked how we got WoL but UoE probably would've been a better move. Honestly, I would have preferred they shortened world showcase and added an extra month in world showcase and world celebration with each offering 2 more per month. World showcase is just too underwhelming for me.Anyways, I am not entirely sure on what I am going to get from this neighborhood. I do plan on buying at least one though, just to have at least one representative from World Showcase for the collection. While this neighborhood may not that be that exciting (at least for me) compared to the others,
The one thing I’ll give World Showcase is that the attraction posters are (mostly) nice. I definitely agree with it being underwhelming though.Honestly, I would have preferred they shortened world showcase and added an extra month in world showcase and world celebration with each offering 2 more per month. Numbered horizon = professional framing, display at homeNot sure I want to rebuy Horizons. I mean I probably will, but I feel guilty about it. Definitely happy with my numbered original version, but the special treatment version seems hard to pass up.
For everyone that’s rebuying, what are you displaying? Hang the new edition, keep the old numbered in a portfolio?
Phenomenal tip…the Michael’s frames fit perfectly. Thanks much.If anybody is looking for frames for the current series, Michael's is running a pretty killer Buy One Get Two sale on some nice ones. Just bought enough to handle all the additional ones I'm planning to buy in this set, plus a couple spares in case I splurge on something unexpectedly. https://www.michaels.com/studio-decor-belmont-frame-black/10392851.html
The sad part is that they still have not changed the advertising of it on certain pages.WoL had 2 weeks and...uh...well it was available for the people that wanted it. I think these two will do well. Most certainly will run circles around WoL.
That and they haven't pushed any other sort of ad in SD for them. They'd get a small scrolling image in the header and a larger image on another page. Aside from the usual Disney news sites (and myself on twitter and the FB group), there's literally no marketing for an attraction that has a huge cult following. I swear SD loves to shoot themselves in the foot. The sad part is that they still have not changed the advertising of it on certain pages.
Agree. I'd have no clue they were up if it weren't for this thread and your posts. Zero marketing, not that I've ever seen these appear in an email blast from ShopDisney, but having them on the front page would be nice, especially with something so time limited. I have a feeling some folks that aren't plugged into the forums are going to forget to check and miss the short window. Yep, it's annoying. For the 2020 stuff, it was gone before anyone knew it was available which is more excusable to not advertise. For these there's long order windows so there's not reason they can't advertise them.Agree. I'd have no clue they were up if it weren't for this thread and your posts. I turned out to be biggest hypocrite with the WoL. I did buy it on the last day of May with the available discount. Did anyone get a pending charge in advance of the shipment or is it appearing now after it shipped?Same here. Should arrive on Tuesday.
