Wasn’t that a joke?
Ahh.. you mean, as in what they did in&itself. Hyping up what we thought was the ride rehab only for it to be just the meet n greet in the end? Yeeeah, I get how it felt like that somewhat. But again, unfortunately it seems that the execs are so blind to the fact he’s so beloved, they simply needed the meet n greet there to prove this further, like, people love this character to get that rehab greenlit. Hence the Dreamfinder silhouette backdrop, etc in that area. You’d think the merch sales wouldve done enough to convince them.. but I guess they still weren’t convinced. Sure hope more confidence was brought in thanks to that, the Little Golden Book, and other efforts to finally greenlight the rehab we want.. suppose we’ll see what’s announced tomorrow. And if not this one, the next one. lol

Nice try. The low crowds were noted many, many months before Covid, and one person even lost their job because of it.

Catherine Powell position was eliminated and that’s why she was laid off. She then went to Airbnb to be one of their execs.

Tomorrow's won't be this long. There won't be any celebrity ovations to delay things or song performances. Plus, there's always the possibility there isn't as much to announce as we thought. Hopefully that's not the case, but they've been known to make last minute cuts.
This is the description of the event:
D’Amaro will welcome fans as he takes the stage with surprise stars and special guests for a live celebration of the music and creativity that power Disney stories and — of course — news and updates about projects in development around the world. The future is bright for Disney Experiences and this can’t-miss showcase will show fans what’s on the horizon and beyond.

So you'll deffo get your celebrities on stage and musical numbers and you probably won't get stuff just for the parks or parks adjacent stuff either at this event.

Im so tired of all of this originality and brand new ideas!!! Give us more sequels!!!
Milk those cows
Maybe if the entire world had actually SEEN Elemental in theaters instead of brushing it off as looking crappy just because it was a post-Toy Story 3 non-Inside Out PIXAR movie, PIXAR wouldn't be greenlighting so many sequels.

Don’t blame audiences after the self-destruction Pixar/Disney caused the brand with their release strategy and clunkers like Turning Red and Lightyear

driving into it, the lines move very very slowly. The security also moves slow. Finally, the line for the tram also moves slow. It just feels like the people who make the decisions on how to operate the arrival experience don’t actually experience it. They valet park at the Grand Cal and stroll on in.
Yeah, I had a similar feeling. From the security to the lack of direction, and then meandering through a mall to get to the parks, it doesn’t feel particularly well thought out or magical.

In fairness, PIXAR was the only one last night who actually had original concepts to showcase. Sure Toy Story 5 makes them an easy punching bag, but they’re still allowing original ideas to flourish.

What? Audiences have been migrating towards sequels and original IP’s since before the post Covid release strategy shift.

If audiences supported original films the same way they do sequels the studios would respond accordingly.

It’s scheduled for 90 minutes, but I assume it will run 2 hours.

Putting all entertainment together was quite a lot. Perhaps only achievable by the strikes. They’re normally been split presentations I think forever (either split animation v live action or streaming v theatrical).

I’m glad Sundays legend ceremony is at 5 😴
Fortnite is advertising a separate scheduled event from the same arena at 8:30 / 11:30.
