According to screamscape both it and Wild adventurers might be sold soon:
it’s been nearly a year since Adventure Parks Group LLC filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and with the debt issues still not resolved, both Wild Adventures and Cypress Gardens will be sold off by September 25th.
Both parks will remain open and however and annual passes will be honored by the new owner. Cypress Gardens will attempt an experiment however starting today by closing all of the park rides and Splash Island waterpark entirely on Mondays through Thursdays and dropping admission to just $19.95 for these special Garden Days aimed to bringing back the Senior crowd. Things will run normally again every Fridays to Sundays, and the experiment will continue through September 27th.
While the name of the buyer was not released, Screamscape sources have been reporting for months that representatives from Herschend Family Entertainment, owners of Silver Dollar City and Dollywood may have been in talks to purchase the parks. However, my own opinion was that unless this was a steal of a deal, Cypress Gardens and Wild Adventures just didn’t fit the highly themed atmosphere profile of Herschend’s own chain of parks like Dollywood, Silver Dollar City, Celebration City or the Crossroads at Stone Mountain. Anything is possible however and if HFE does pick up Cypress Gardens and Wild Adventures, the parks will only benefit from the deal. Otherwise, if I had to hazard a guess to a possible second bidder for the parks, I’d say that these parks could be another target of PARC Management, especially with PARC’s headquarters sitting in nearby Jacksonville, FL and CNL’s deep pockets backing them.

amazing how it is being sold so soon... at least it now has the starliner.

Yeah, their insurance companies stiffed them $20 million from the hurricane damage and they haven't been able to recover...

I really hope they don't change Wild Adventure's, it may not be Disney/Universal, but I loved that park (of course, it was my home park for 10+ years, I'm biased)...

A local investment firm has purchased cypress gardens... while Herschend Family Entertainment purchased wild adventures.
