Story from my youth.
From 5th grade on, I'd root for the Phila. Eagles. If the Eagles were playing at home and it was not a sellout, the television broadcast of the game would be blacked out and my only option to follow the game was to listen to the play by play on AM Radio WIP.

So because it was a bit of a distance, as I listened to the AM Radio broadcast, I'd have to contend with the STATIC.
