I don't care about Webster's technical definition. In real life people harken back to their original education....
In my elementary school, we all know what a WORD is. Everything I have typed to this point is a word.
The classroom teacher would not refer to "Melissa" as a "word"...she'd refer to "Melissa" as a "Name"
The classroom teacher would not refer to "33" as a "word". The classroom teacher would refer to "33" as a "number".
My game is Cut the WORD / Add a WORD
My 5th graders would totally get that.
