Custom Videos for a surprise?

Is there anywhere you can create a custom video, or something about the parks, or a character to basically tell someone they are going to disney?

We booked our next trip, and this time were taking my Oldest Niece, and Oldest Nephew with us.

This is their very first trip to Disney. and its part of a 2 or 3 year plan to get them all there for the first visit ever. I would love to randomly send them a video, or something to surprise them to say your going to DISNEY!!!

I did some searching, and i couldn't find anything.

The hardest part, is explaining to the other 2, why they have to wait another year to go. So thats what were trying to wrap our heads around now. creating a box of " dont think we forgot you" either
They get an "extra" year of anticipation??? You're in a tough spot - but you still are going to be their favorite uncle "forever"... Good for you.

It is a tough spot. But my youngest nephew, is now healing from a surgery, and a good chance he will need at least 1 more, so we wanted him to go in the last batch, so he had time to heal and we would know what we would be dealing with ( if he'd need a wheel chair to go between stuff, and not walk all day etc)

They always hear about our trips, and get the stuff we bring back from them. I consider us blessed, as we can afford to go as much as we do, and knowing that no matter how much she wants to, and or tries, my Sister inlaw just cant make it happen. Weve wanted to do it for a long time, and now that my daughter is 20 and on her own pretty much, we have the extra to take them finally. That and about 5 years ago we moved out of state for work, and went from being 5 minutes from them, to 24 hours and a timezone away. For me, its a chance to be there for the 50th, and for the 40th of EPCOT, and to watch all the changes in person, but to see the joy and wonder of the Parks through the eyes of someone that has never even begun to dream of what it is.

My daughter had several leg surgeries during the 2nd to 5th years we went. We had to sometimes get a wheelchair at the front gate or in the parking area, just to make it easier. Walking about 5 miles a day (on crutches) was too much at times, so we always gave her the option of grabbing a wheelchair whenever she thought she'd need it. - But she still got to do everything that the other kids were doing.

Thats the worst cas, and have no problem doing that if need be. Right now, hes still in full leg braces and can barely move from the couch to the commode and back, so he needs some healing time for sure.

My daughter was in a leg brace as well, but we still had a GREAT time at Disney. She always says that Disney was the best therapy she could have ever had, while going through her many years of surgeries, recovery, and just not being a normal kid for about 5 years... You and your wife will be rewarded for your thoughtfulness and kindness!

I could see that too! I think a trip to disney is the best therapy ever!

Its a multi year plan.

First year, 2 of them

Second year, the other 2

Third year a surprise for my sister inlaw adult only trip.

No one has to pay for anything. Were footing the bill. We will get them their flights as part of their Christmas gifts, both here, and back home from here, plus the trip.

We have the Disney Visa, so we put as much of the every day life as we can through there to rack up the rewards dollars, so we can put that away for souvenir money. its only about 11 hours in the car for us, and about 2 tanks of gas, so its super cheap to get there from here, we just gotta get them here!

Funny, I also charge evertyhing on Disney Visa, and give all the $$$ to the kids for souvenirs - and also get 10% off using rewards dollars at most Disney stores. If you stay on Disney property, you can rent DVC points and stay at a deluxe (like the Polynesian) for just a little more than Disney's budget hotels.

We always stay on property. Usually POP, but we did ALL Star Music this time for the suite option. Thats the plan. to rack up the points, and then use the cards while were there so they can get what they want etc. We even use the card to pay on the trip so we can get reward points from that. We just call disney, make the payment, then i pay the card, so the balance doesnt get crazy, we just get the points! Id love to stay deluxe. We used the bounce back offer for free dining this time for them, ( a must with 2 teens that can eat!) so we only wanted quick service and couldnt go to deluxe and get that. We were going to do wilderness lodge, but we didnt want to have to schedule all the table service.

With the 2 kids being left behind for this trip...just tell them its a right of passage for their age! I would suggest waiting as long as you can so the nephew has time to heal and can get around on his own. Even though there are wheelchairs available at all times, its much nicer to do things on your own! Since the sister in law TRIES to go, but can't...why not make the next trip a stay in a house OFF PROPERTY so that will save you the extra cash it would take to TAKE the 2 kids AND Mom! If the kids who go this trip want to go, tell them that they will have to pay for something(Tickets, Spending cash, flights) But either way, I would explain to them that the other 2 will be going next while they sit at home(unless they pay their share of the trip)!

I think they will be fine waiting honestly. As the 2 that are not going, just got to come visit us the last couple years, so they just got a special trip, and one on one time. The actual plan right now, is to do 3 trips. One for each pair, and then a 3rd adult only week for my sister inlaw, as honestly she deserves it, and her exact words, if i ever get to go, i want a break from the kids. so that being said. it struck a chime in my head and boom 3rd trip to plan! I figure, if we time it right, and use bounce back offers, we can get the best bang for our buck! Its more about being able to give them each something special one on one kind of vs the cost. I could find a way to make a trip on site for everyone work once, but i think it will be a better experience for them to split. My oldest niece is into thrills, so she can get up with me and go hit those early, and the wife and nephew can meet up later etc.

Its looking good on his healing, and the doctors said they had to cut less tendons and such than they thought they would have to when they got in there, so hes doing well thus far, and may not have to do any more, but thats why we put him on the second trip in 2021. which would put us there about the time this Phase of EPCOT rebuild is done. Hes a high energy kid so having him have to be good is hard enough ha! my wife spent a week with him a couple months ago when she was up there visiting, and he gets better every day. Hopefully there will not be any more needs, and by the time 2021 gets here, he will be back to keeping us on our toes.

I always forget thats a thing! i bet i could use photos from our past trips to create a custom little book or something for them... along with park maps a custom blanket, maybe a drink bottle and a letter.
YES, PERFECT! For the drink bottle, buy one that they can use AFTER the trip as well! Plastic and Steel bottom bottle

And the best tihng? Once you buy from Shutterfly, they give you free items most of the time! I bought a mug and just got 4 free items, then I got 20 items free! All I paid was S/H! Stocking up for Christmas!!!!
