Hey Taryn, I did custodial when I was on the CP. Let me assure you that it is one of the better jobs by far. I was a little disappointed at first but after I was there for a while, I learned that there were worse jobs. Most want attractions, but that means you could get a pretty silly suit listening to "It's a Small World After All" for hours upon end for months. I'm sure you can understand that kind of torture. I wanted to do the Kilamanjaro Safari rides, but my roommate did that and said he got so sick of saying the same thing over and over again, driving around in circles.
As custodial, sure we empty trash cans, clean up protein spill, and clean bathrooms, but not very many cast members get the opportunity to walk around and talk to people normally and not say all day, "Please keep your hand and arms inside the ride at all times." (Which reminds me, don't raise your arms on Space Mountain if they are long. I did that and hit a cross beam. Thank goodnes I still have my fingers.) My advice is, you take out of Disney what you take in. Go in with a good attitude and you'll love working with the guests and your coworkers. I wish I could go back again.
