CS in DHS?

We hardly ever eat in DHS. (although I usually stop in for a cocktail at the Tune In Lounge.) We usually take the boat over to EPCOT & grab something in the World Showcase.

That being said, last October, we were in DHS and starving so we stopped at Backlot Express. I was really pleasantly surprised by the grilled veggie sandwich - it was good enough I would go back for it. The self serve drink station is nice too.

The ABC commissary is pure gross. (IMO)

I know a lot of people knock it, but I always eat at Pizza Planet. Yes, it's Disney pizza and that can be lackluster to some, but to me, it's tradition.

Also, I have heard nothing but good things about Starring Rolls. It's a very good and different place for lunch.

I'll second Pizza Planet. We really enjoy it. Nothing exceptional just consistent. You can get a pizza & salad combo which is good. Only thing...get there early! It gets very crowded & very noisy!

We had a horrible meal at Pizza Planet in December. We used to love it, not anymore (just our opinion).

We avoid eating at DHS for the most part. Great fries at Toluca Legs if you want a snack though. We started doing room service after an evening at DHS, even if it takes 45 minutes to get there, it's better than DHS.

Are you on the Dining Plan or paying out of pocket?
If on the dining plan the best value by far is the Fairfax Fair (I think it is called) right in from of the Tower of Terror. They have BBQ with Ribs and BBQ beef that is very good and also a nice change from burgers and fries.
If paying out of pocket I would do Backlot.

We ate at the ABC Commisary to and it was fine by us. Of course I can't remember what I ate but the only thing I didn't care for on the whole trip was the cream cheese filled french toast at CRT. :hurl:

I actually kinda like the ABC Commisary's chicken curry. :lookaroun

Certainly not the best curry I've had by a long shot, but it's not bad. Just about all other CS foods at DHS...not so much.
