Crush'n Gusher Review?

Can anyone who has ridden Crush'n Gusher give me an idea of what the "thrill" level is like? I notice when there is "Official Promotion" of any new attraction, it is described as "big thrills" "wild chills" "fast and fusious" "takes your breath away" etc... I dislike thriller gut wrenching rides, and I find that most of this "thrill" is over promotion due to the fact that more and more customers are seeking bigger thrills and less of the quality ride experience like PoTC. So, is the new water slide really scary or just a fun new water slide.

I think Crush 'n' Gusher is awesome. As for the big thrill gut wrenching rides, I wouldn't really call CnG that. It's thrilling, but it isn't overly intense, it's just flat out fun. My favorite was Coconut Crusher, the air time on the second bunny hill is awesome.

Welcome to the boards!

Just realized this, but this was post #700. :)

I haven't ridden it, but I have heard that it gives you a pretty thrilling ride. I heard that the one real drawback is that it lasts only about 45-50 seconds.

It doesn't even last that long. I timed it around 40 seconds.

Crush N' Gusher is cool, but to sum it up it is basically a water slide that helps push/boost you along. It isn't scary or gut-wrenching at all. One of my son's is afraid of big water-slides, and he had no problem on this one.

We loved Crush N' Gusher and were there for the opening/press day and rode it several times.

One warning - lift your "bum" up a little as you ride. My wife got some major bruises on her behind from the roller things that help push you forward.

It was a lot of fun and we'll be sure to do it again but with our tails lifted up just a bit.

Thanks for the insight. I just hate to get to the front of the line on something and then chicken out... It sounds like the CG won't be a problem for me.

The best way to describe it is as a water roller coaster. You go down hills and up them much similar to a roller coaster. This type of ride originated here in Texas actually at Schlitterbahn, which is the best water park in the world :D and the one here is huge!! I don't know the exact height, but it sure is a thrill. But yeah to put in plainly, it is a water coaster.
