Crowds in September

I have gone the past 4 Septembers, each time the 2nd, 3rd and 4th weeks of the month. Wait times mostly walk on to 10 minute waits. The major rides were posted in the 20 to 30 minute wait but we never saw that, more like 15 minutes. Fast passes are plentiful however ADR's are not(free dining going on). The weather is HOT AND HUMID and I am from Texas and the weather bothers me that time of year in Florida.

Hence i have given up on free dining and have booked end of November early December for cooler weather

How are the crowds in September? Specifically Sept. 22 to Oct. 3rd? Are there really long wait times due to the free dining? :hammer:

I see your going around the same time I am...(by a day actually). But getting back to the post..It is a tad busy especially since you'll be going during The Food & Wine festival at Epcot...But wait times on rides aren't too bad..depending on when you go and what you want to do...Here's what wait times were like around that same time last year Oct 4 2008

Hope this helps!

I won't be able to do most of the big rides while I'm there since I'll be 7 months pregnant by then. Mostly together we'd be doing the rides with no heigh requirement since we'll also have our 2 year old with us. I hate that it'll still be so hot and humid that time of year, but we'll just have to make sure to take LOTS of breaks and take it as easy as possible. Make the best of it anyway, we'll be in DISNEY! haha!

We have been 5 times in Sept / Oct and we had free dining last time. We've never felt that the crowds were a problem; as for restaurants, if you do ADRs there isn't a problem there either. We expect to queue for CS meals and popular rides. We find the weather 'kinder' these months than in the summertime.

I'll be going Sept. 6th-12th.

I've been in September before, and the crowds were non-existent for me.

A quick question though...

Isn't September part of the lovebug season? If I remember correctly, they were swarming down in FL at this time.

We arrive on the 22nd too!!! Tried to book so my son wouldn't miss an entire week of school. We are heading to the airport as soon as he gets home from school that day! So excited. First time going in Sept.

DW and I will be going to WDW Sept 27 - Oct 1 with our 19-month old daughter. Her first trip! :sohappy:

Glad to hear wait times are typically short still this late in the month. We've been to WDW just after labor day on previous trips and found it to be a great time to visit.

Pretty much all of our meals will be table service with ADR's, so I don't expect much of an issue there.

We took our ds in December when he was 15 months old. He had soooo much fun! I'm sure your dd will love it just as much! I never thought I'd stand in line to see characters, but was "bored" while waiting for my dh one day so took ds to see the characters. Dh got there just in time to see our ds run up to Mickey for his first time, almost knocking him over! Priceless! After that, we stood in line for the rest of the trip just to see how happy it made him. Ds will be 2 in August so hopefully he'll love them just as much in September! :sohappy:

I lived in Orlando for a few years and it seemed like it was always lovebug season lol.. But yes they will be everywhere around that time.. At least they dont bite hehe :-)

Ill be arriving on 9/25.. The first day of F&WF.. I can't imagine the lines/waiting being all that short during those days but I can't really recall from the last time I was there for the event (too much wine I suppose :-P).. Hopefully you guys are right :-D
