Crowds at Disney World ?

Last year we were there Dec 6th -Dec 16th and it was crowded toward the end of our stay. This year we are going the 7th -16. Not sure what it will be like. In 2007 it was low crowds then last year it seemed double the people. Just not sure with the economy how it will really be. But I know that it cannot be as bad as Christmas week. Go and have a great time.

That is what I was thinking, when we arrive on Dec 16th it will be busy but nothing really crazy. Then when we check out on the 21st I assumed it would have picked up a good bit by then, since Christmas is getting near.

We've gone that week the last 2 years, and it was pretty good. Much beter than Thanksgiving week. Going back the 12-19th this year, too. Needed fastpasses for some of the more popular attractions, but never really ran into any big crowds. By the time we were leaving on that last Saturday before Christmas, though, the people were coming thru the gates at the MK in droves. We were trying to leave around noon, and it was like being a salmon trying to swim upstream.

We usually go in the summer, but last year, for the first time we went dec 22nd to the 25th, and I was expecting wall to wall people, minimum two hours waits for everything...and i was pleasantly surprised. I didn't think it was any worse than going in the middle of the summer...and the cooler weather made it much more bearable. It did get busy as our stay went on toward christmas day, but for the most part, I thought it was very reasonable.
