Crowds and Heat

We're heading to the World in less than 2 weeks!! I have family members who are there now and have said that the crowds and heat for this time of year have been higher than usual. I don't know if this is a mark up b/c they're overly sensitive to crowds and heat or if it's true and I normally wouldn't care except that we're taking 14 month old twins for the first time! Can anyone verify?

A friend just returned Saturday and she said the longest wait they had was 40 minutes for Soarin, everything else was 15-20 minutes or less - and she was there for a week.

She said the weather was perfect.

Magic Kingdom May seem more crowded, but it really isnt because they lost a nice chunk of land (ToonTown) so other areas of the park will be more crowded (Kinda why they keep having 8am openings and late closings)

The temperatures have been crazy this week. The end of last week was cooler than normal (I actually grabbed a sweater one morning), while today is inching up towards a record high.

The weather for the whole southeastern region has been screwy for the past week or so. We've had unseasonably warm temps followed by unseasonably cold temps(For example 89 for high one day then 42 for the low the next). From what I can tell, things should be leveling out in the next week or so to more normal/average temps for this time of year.

The weather has been crazy in our neck of the woods too, but is supposed to be heading towards normal temps for this time of year. I totally forgot to take into consideration that Toon Town is now closed. No wonder it seems a bit more crowded!

We just returned and the weather was a little all over the place. Some days were a little cooler (in fact, one day I actually would have put on a jacket if I had one with me - and I'm from Canada) and some days were record highs! I found the crowds to be high (but I usually go in Sept. so I would find the crowds bad). The weekend was especially bad b/c there was two grad nights and everyone checking in was headed to the same place... Epcot. I never find crowds in Epcot b/c it's such a large park but it was packed. We left just prior to supper time and there were throngs of people still coming through the turnstiles!

We're heading there on May 28th... hopefully it won't be too rainy

2 years ago in 2009 we went in May aswell (around the 25th) and it rained 7 days out of 7, and I mean pouring all day long.
