For whomever asked if the parks would be crowded like...April 13-21...once again. This is my Spring Break and I somehow doubt I am the only school district in the country with this week off...you are still paying Peak Season rates at the hotels, so expect crowds.

Actually, Disney ran specials for this period. We got a woodland
view room at the WL for $159 per night. The rate was also good for a savannah room at the AKL. I changed are arrival date twice with know problem. The week of 4/20 to 4/27 was booked solid and the special rate did not apply. The contemporary was also booked solid for the week of 4/20 -27. This is why I am questioning how crowded it will be during the week of 4/14 to the 20th.

Monday morning... the traffic from the Magic Kingdom Toll Plaza was backed up past Buena Vista Drive...

For those of you not familliar with the roads, BVD is the road that Downtown Disney, Epcot Resorts, AK Resorts, and MGM Back entrance is on.... so that's pretty far. The Toll Plaza was probably running 60+ cars/min... but even still, that was a long wait just to get to the parking lot. (which by the way reached capacity)

All the Disney busses had to re-route, and get to the MK via the backroads. Disney was running *ALL* of thier busses... and even brought in a few charter busses in to get the Resort guests into the parks...

When were were there on New Years Eve, we were the last people out of AK, and they had to send Disney Cruise Line Busses for us! I have to admit it was pretty cool!

Tommy Texas.....the park hours at MK are bad that week.... they close at 6:00...... the reason.... Grad Nites.... There are three grad nites during that week....There are other parks that stay open later....best times at night are at the resorts or Pleasure Island....Go play a round of golf at Fantasia.... Eat at one of the resturants in EPCOT...or Widlerness Lodge....the parks are fun but there is toooo many other things to do on a VACATION!:)

This is for McArcDes, the crowds in December( at least the earlier portion) should be light to moderate at best. I usually go around that time of the year and I always have a wonderful time then. Look for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Parade and ask about a dinner package for the Candlelight processional in EPCOT Dont even try to get in without the dinner package the lines are ssssssssssssooooooooooo Long!! Also dont forget about those lovely Priority Seating dining plans. You have lots of time to research and check out all of the ones you'd like to do!! Any help I can give just throw a shout out!!!

It all goes back to cut hours at the parks. If the hours were the way they were, people wouldnt be there open to close. Everyone now has rushed feeling to see everything before it closes. I hope the large crowds helps with the hours. I am going in October and the thought of being confronted with 9am to 6pm or 9am to 7pm hours is very discouraging. I agree with you all though on the Easter being CROWDED. I went in 2000 on Easter and my god was it bad. But, I expected it. I also experienced unusally hostile guests. Must be the time of year.,,,,,That has to be the only time I have ever seen that. People are usually on their best behavior at WDW.

Anyone know what the crowds are like in the first week in October? This is the first time I will be going that time of year. I am hoping for large enough crowds to have late park hours but not big enough to wait 75min for Small world...LOL oh well in a perfect world maybe. All in out it doesn't matter. WDW is WDW and I'll take it anyway I can get it...lol
