Crowd Predictor Calenders??

We had a subscription for our week long trips in the past but our end of May trip is only one day and I am not sure if I want to do a plan. I am curious do you think Touring Plans are accurate with crowd predictions? Do the Touring Plans make your ride times shorter? Also are there other sources than Touring Plans? In our past 15 or so trips we have been blessed with light crowds and a few times I had the basic plans but didn't use them much.
I am starting to worry that MK will be insane! Can anyone tell me the current crowd prediction for 5/24 at MK? It was a 5, I think, a few months ago. We picked that day because of EPCOT having EMH and DHS having Star Wars weekend but I think that AK was the suggested Park of the day...
Any help or insight would be appreciated:)

Its high. MK just announced that they are going to do an All Nighter for Monsters Inc. So the park is going to be open for 24 hours.

  • Crowd Level: 10.0 out of 10
  • This is a Park to Avoid
  • Park Hours: 6:00am - 6:00am

I do think they do a nice job with the crowd predictions, but it's impossible to be absolutely right all the time. And even they will tell you that a good plan is more important than all this "least croded park" stuff.

So, use it if you want, but don't be a slave to the Park Crowdedness Factor. :)

Everyone seems to think the MK will be very busy for the 24 hour thing.

We love touring plans and for a whopping $7 - I think it's well worth the cost. But for just a one day trip I wouldn't bother. Having a plan is more important, and is really what can keep the wait times down. With that said - I wouldn't go anywhere near MK on 5/24...:eek:

We used crowd calendar aspect through TouringPlans.com during our last trip, but didnt use the actual "touring plans". It helped and was completely accurate. Where it really was on full display was at the bus stops. As crowds and crowds of people were piling onto an Epcot bus (rated at a 9 out of 10) we headed to AK (rated a 2 out of 10). My gf, who was a bit skeptical, was instantly sold. FYI, still check the Lines app everyday (it's touringplans.com app) every morning to see if anything has changed.

OMG! I am sitting here in my YDS2 preschool pick up line having a panic attack. I am sure it is my pregnancy horomons but I am freak out mode. We have 4 kids under 8 who begged for this MK day. We had cancled our plans for Sept because our 5th baby is due then. Our kids were bummed and so DH and I decided to stop on the way to the beach for 1MK day and a DTD day with T Rex lunch. Uggg. OK WDWmagic, WWYD? Go with 4 kids or break thier hearts and cancle...

We are checking on hitting WDW on the flip side. Not sure about the in laws feelings on us ducking out early, they live in Naples and we stay with them on beach vacations. DH and I have been talking on and off all day about what to do...
