Crowd levels for April/May 2004?

Meega, nala kwishta!
Hello all  . I'm thinking of doing a short visit sometime between April 16 - May 30 to catch the Flower and Garden festival. My wife is an avid gardener and she'd just love to do this.

I know this is a probebly a busy time of the year to even think of visiting the world, but I'd like to hear some opinions on the "least" crowded time, if any, during that time period.

Thanks!

I went the first week of May '03 and it wasn't that crowded. I think it's a good time to go, but it was very, very hot. It was between 92* and 95* every day.

Is it usually this hot around the first week of May in Orlando? That's when I most likely will be going, hoepfully! :D

We were told it was unseasonably hot. Also, it didn't rain a drop the whole seven days.

If 92 or 95 is unseasonably hot for Orlando, what does the temperature generally run from in early May? 92 or 95 sounds more like July temperatures to me, even for central Florida!

We go around midMay each time we go. Not a lot of rain and highs usually in the high 80s. Crowds aren't too bad unless Easter falls late that year.

Thank you all!

Paul James (from HGTV) usally is at the F&G show, and usally the first week or so. I'm hoping he'll be there this year, and will fall near the beginning of May.

Thanks again for all your opinions!

My next trip is May '04, I've never been in May, but i've heard a lot of people say it is a nice time to go. I am going May 15th thru the 24th, compared to my trip this past July, I think anything will feel less crowded. -Stephanie

Just checked the weather history for the Orlando area.

Average HIGH for May is 90º
Average Low for May is 69º

Warm...yes.
But not nearly as warm as it is in the Summer months.

We are going in May next year also.
My wife and I both enjoy the Flower and Garden show also.

As someone said, the kiddies are still in School and Spring breaks are over so the crowds, while not thin, are tolerable.

Since people are realizing that Disney can be more relaxing and just as enjoyable in the off season, I think the days of small crowds and having the parks all to yourself are almost a thing of the past.
