How about 24 - 29 November ? Is that around Thanksgiving in your country? Which park will be least crowded 26-28th Nov?

Thanks.

During that week, many of the New Jersey schools are out due to election day and teachers convention. A large number of the people at Disney during this time are from NJ. We usually are there, as our kids are off for the entire week. This year we are going a week early because we tried to book too late and there was nothing available with DVC.

We're there Nov. 9-20 and everything I've seen says that attendance is low during this time - the Unofficial Guide rates it a 2 out of 10, the second lowest level of attendance.

I don't think the NJ week thing is big bump.

BTW, we're at POP Century too...see you there!!

I have been several times in November and the queues (which us british are very good at) are very low, I think 30 mins was the max. time we have ever waited. Yes, it gets busier around Thanksgiving, so either get up for early entry at the particular park, or get to any park that is not on early entry for official opening. Once it gets too busy you can pop back to the hotel or shop til you drop at DTD.

Might see you there!

November is a good month to visit. I have been in Nov. on a few ocassions and the crowds tend to be low, line wait is short, not to mention it is some of the best weather of the year in FL, warm and pretty dry.

Hi!

We went November 13-20th last year and had never been in November before. I usually shoot for the very dead times at Disney, not just sorta quiet. All indications were that this would be a "dead" time of year. We have been in January and September when it was truly "dead" and we enjoyed it very much. However, the November crowds were definitely "moderate." I have no way of knowing if this is because of the rise in attendance overall at Disney lately, or if this is the normal crowd level, or if we just got unlucky with our park plans. But I would warn that it isn't as quiet as a crowd rating of 2 by the unofficial guide would suggest. It is still a very nice time of year with excellent weather. And it is certainly not busy. Oh, and I had a good friend who went Oct 31-Nov 6 last year as well, and she had the same experience of it being a bit busier than she was used to for that time period. It may not be the time of year, either. Every board you go to cites higher attendance at the parks in recent months/year after a long period of low attendance. We might just need to get used to there not being a "dead" time to go! You will still have a fantastic time, and it certainly won't be a problem. Have fun!

We were in WDW in Late October last year and it was more crowded than usual - I believe it was caused by the hurricanes moving peoples plans around - but I'm not sure. Hopefully this year it will be back to 'normal'

May

Hi my family and I were supposed to go to Disney the 2nd week of September, but my husband got a job offer that he could not turn down. We are now going to reschedule it. I was wondering if anyone has been there in May. I am looking at booking the first week in May. Can anyone tell me how crowded it is then? We have to go before August as we have a credit with Southwest Airlines that will expire then.

Any info would be greatly appreciated...Thanks

We have been twice in the first part of May. The first time was right after 9/11 so there was almost nobody there. The second time was this year. Crowds we not bad at all. Usually from 9am to about 11am the parks were empty. I have some video from MGM one morning walking down the street after leaving TOT and there is about three people in the shot as I panned the street. I took the video because I couldn't figure out where all the people were. After that things picked up a bit but still not bad at all.

The parks where ghost towns for the week that led to Thanksgiving last year. No need for fastpasses at all! And best yet, extended hours due to the coming holiday.
But, Thanksgiving made it crowded, and it made it seem even worse after we had been spoiled with a couple days of near walk-ons for everything.
