The only thing I would warn is that Chef Mickey's was AWFUL when I last ate there. Other than that everything looks good. As for your counter services, I prefer Pecos over Cosmic Rays, and Sunshine Seasons is my favorite quick service there is.

Check the weather forecast in advance for your day at the water park - if it looks a bit iffy, swap with your plans for another day. Other than that, looks good!

By the way, Cosmic Ray's is my all-time favorite counter service spot in WDW - you'll love it! It's VERY busy during peak times, though, so I'd plan to eat either early or late.

Have a great trip!

Looking good. I would recommend you don't try Pizzafarri though. With a vegeterian wife we don't have much choice at AK and lways end up there - I've never once felt good after eating there.

Also, is it worth hiring a car to visit a mall? It might be cheaper and less hastle to get a taxi. Of course, I wouldn't visit it at all - I hate shopping and it's just another few hours where I'm not in the parks! Never a good thing.

Sounds like you will have a great time!

It looks like you were planning on checking into Pop Prior to lunch, but you aren't suppose :lookaroun to check into the hotel until 3. Other than that, you plan looks great. Oh, you may also want to make reservations for planet hollywood if they take them. Everytime we tried to eat there they had a 2 + Hour wait. You may also want to try the new T-Rex Restuarant downtown disney. The pictures make it look really impressive. They are walk in only, but apparently, they will be taking reservation after Jan 1, according to one of the manager's I spoke too.

Rooms aren't guaranteed to be ready until 3pm or later. You can check in whenever you want, stow your bags with bell services, get your theme park tickets, and go to the parks.

We love to shop lol, but were not paying to rent the car, i have enough airmiles to rent one for free for the day, i probally wouldnt pay out of pocket for it. Where we live to theres not alot of good shopping, and ive never left disney property beforel.

Thanks! i know last time we arrived around 1:30 and our room wasnt ready yet, but we grabbed a bite in the foor court and by the time we were done eating they had a room ready for us.

We wont have our luggage with us because we will use DME, we will have our carryons with us though with our changes of clothes, will they store those for us to if our rooms arnt ready by the time we hit the parks? And will they leave the luggage in our room if were not there?

Your plans sound good. You'll love Chef Mickey's, we always go there at least once a trip...The Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom is a nice Character Buffet also. The new T-Rex Restaurant looks interesting and fun. :)

:sohappy:There is a big outlet mall not far from SR 535. I forget the name but it has a Disney outlet store that is great and much less expensive than on site!! If you need to pick up any gifts, you may want to wait! The mall is located near a huge Catolic church, Someone else will know the name I'm sure:ROFLOL:

I have been to Pop Century at least 9 times and they have never let us check in prior to 3. The did allow us to check our bags with bell service and they gave us a parking pass, but they would not give us room keys etc. They told us (on many occasions) that we had to come back to get them. Perhaps it was just the luck of the draw that we were told no everytime, but that has been our experience with Pop. However, we never had tickets through the hotel, we had AP's. Perhaps that is why we didn't get a room key. Any thoughts on that one for future reference?

Planet Hollywood is so not Disney and has no real character. Plus the food is average. The Earl of Sandwich is great and relatively inexpensive. We make it a point to go there every time we go to DD. Sounds like a great trip. Have fun!:)

I am an AP holder as well. In my personel experience, I have always been able to check-in prior to 3pm and have been given my room key. Sometimes my room was ready, but sometimes it wasn't. The times that it was not, I have been given a card with a number to call to check and see if our room was ready. When it was ready, they would then give me our room number and we were able to go right to our room with out going by the front desk.

Hello!! If you are with girls, I would have a splurge night and go up to the bar at California Grill at Contemporary, grab a bottle of wine from the bar and maybe an appetizer and enjoy the fireworks from MK. :) It's my fave thing to do.

Also shopping locations...the first is an outlet mall that has some awesome deals....the second is a HUGE upscale mall that also has some great restaurants. Either way enjoy your trip!!

That is good to know. I will ask for that next time my family arrives early. Thanks for the tip.

Yes to Crystal Palace, Cosmic Ray's, and Electric Umbrella. The Sunshine Seasons looked great. We liked Mama Melrose in DHS. Try Wolfgang Puck's Express in DTD. We love it.
When we arrive early, as early as 9am, we are given our tickets on our room keys and told to call back for our room. Then, we are off to the parks. We do not wait around the resort for our room.
