Crazy question

Has anyone ever heard of anyone "spending the night" at one of the parks??? My oldest DD is fascinated by the idea of hiding out until the parks are closed and then walking around an empty park. We WON'T EVER do it, but I'm curious to know if anyone ever has and what happened?

I don't think the parks are empty at night. I think the cleaners and repair crews come out. Some kids tried to do it by hiding out on Tom Sawyer Island and it ended in tragedy.

I have gotten to walk around a completely guest cleared DHS multiple times, I have also gotten to walk around World Showcase at 2:00a.

I've always wondered if you some how had the opportunity to stay in at the suite in Cinderella Castle if you could then wander around the park after hours

The parks are truly never empty I'm pretty sure. Like previously said, you have the grounds crew and maintenance crews that come out and do their magic overnight. You wouldn't be able to just walk around freely.

I'd assume a lifetime ban would be handed out to anyone who tried this but without face recognition cameras I'm not sure how they could enforce that.

They do not let you wander around the park if you stay in the Suite.

This question comes up from time to time.

As others have said, there is a lot of activity at night in the parks - you would not be able to walk around.

There is a chance that if you holed up in some out of the way spot, that you could spend the night and not be noticed - but to what end? It would be far from comfortable, and you run the risk of getting caught and banned.

As far as the Castle Suite goes, there is a CM at the elevator that attends to your needs. If you need something, either they get it for you, or they will escort you out of the park if you wish to exit in the middle of the night.

It should be fairly easy to cover the band with foil or something to shield it from detection overnight.

I wonder, though, if Disney is informed of an anomaly if a band is used to enter the park during the day and isn't "seen" near the exits at any time before closing. I doubt that the active rfid detection is reliable enough at this stage for this to trigger an alert, but you never know.

The foil would likely enhance the range of the transmitting antenna, which is a coil of copper that's encased in the straps of the MB.

Once they get the initial system working and all of the testing completed, they will likely begin utilizing the active tracking features - from things like you've suggested, to finding lost kids.
