CP ed. classes

For any of you that have done the CP and took any of the classes they offer, I'm wondering what you can tell me about them. I didn't take classes when I did my WDW CP, but I'm looking into the DLR CP, and they're required. I basically want to know what to expect homework-wise and time in class. I will most likely have to take 2 online classes through my university, so that, on top of my classes there, on top of working FT- just trying to get an idea for the the load will be like.... any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

Also- I met quite a few people down there who said their schools gave them a full 12 credits just for doing the program-anyone know of any schools that do this? It would be quite helpful to use against my school when I meet with my adviser on monday!

It's been 5 years, but I took the "marketing-u" course.
Basically it was a preparation for marketing yourself to the job market;
interview tips, resume help, etc. A lot of interesting excercises and data, but nothing you probably don't already know.

As far as homework, I don't think there was any. Just to do the mentor program, and maybe some easy exercises. Things like prioritizing your goals and dreams, taking quizzes to find out what job best suits you, making a resume-things like that. It was really easy. I'm sure I learned something, but I hated basically giving up an entire day for a 1p-4pm class (or 2-5?). Especially since my university required it...and then ended up not giving me any of the credit for the program I was promised :fork: I had everything settled with my internship coordinator, who left for another job while I was at Disney. When I came back, the new coordinator gave me no credit for the program OR the class, which was all set (and in writing too), but that's another story...

Anyhow, it shouldn't be to bothersome, besides taking up a 3 hour chunk of your day and maybe another hour sometime during your week for minor assignments.

Im hoping to take the engineering class while on my CP. Anyone else take it?

I heard that the classes in the DL CP are really different from the WDW CP classes. At least that's what my Recruiter told us after she sat in on some classes.

I would recomend the speaker series like classes. I know I don't remember the official title and I'm a campus rep but I dont have time to look it up. I took the Communication one and LOVED it!! I had to miss class twice and made sure I went to another section of it.

I took the Hospitality Management class my first CP. It was really interesting (and the funny thing is, I keep running into the instructor every time I go back down on the CP).


Next year, I want to take one of the Exploration classes.
